Or maybe ratings by top reviewers appear at the top of the reviews window, like featured foundry quests do. There's already an achievement for reviewing - why not use it?
I have to say, the only thing I didn't love about your quest was feeling like I should just trash my story and start over. Everything about your project was so whimsical, surprising and fun that I felt completely absorbed in it. If I didn't manage to understand all the words, I caught the humor of the dialogues and the…
Some traps are ok - it's just a lot of traps for someone who can't disable traps. I think you could keep a lot of the encounters, but make sure you say, "Recommended for a party of at least 3 players" in the description. Did you test it using the level 50 cleric by any chance?
Okay, I tried this, too and had a similar experience. So... you need to warn players not to try this quest solo unless they really want a challenge. I used around 30 potions. Admittedly, I am not the best at combat, but the stacked encounters got tiring very quickly: and then there were more skeletons: There were so many…
I would say it's a concurrent idea, since I haven't played that. At least we can approach this idea in the Foundry. If I ever finish Part 2 of my quest, I might try to make a story around the idea of skilled trades.
I really wanted a friendly rogue and a cleric for my story, but no. I guess I'll have to make that magnificent cleric I costumed just cower when he gets attacked. :(
I feel like an orphaned videogame player, which is to say that I love fairy tales, fantasy and lore stories, and wanted to experience being immersed in a fantasy world on the computer. But I've never been interested in killing things. I put up with learning to kill things so that I can get to the next part of the story and…
Hey midnight, thanks for the feedback! I'm glad you liked the conversations. I know all those chat bubbles on the map were a little confusing for some people. I do have a lot of trouble with the limited decorations available. I wanted to make the cheap rooms pretty barren, but you're right that some extra straw palettes…
Ok, just ran through it. I like the story, characters and dialogue, and there were no bugs. I only have a few suggestions: - A lot of the dialogues just gives the generic "Continue" response. You might want to change those to something the player might say, such as, "Ok, I'll check that out," "Whatever you say," "Fine, I…
If only natural selection worked a little faster. You know, it would be challenging to make a Foundry quest that had no text at all. I wonder if that's even possible? It's tempting to write one in which the text is completely nonsensical. PS: I don't think Orodalf is whining about this review. I think Orodalf is astounded…
Hi, I played it last night and enjoyed it very much! - Like pris, I couldn't interact with the item on the floor of the shack and noticed the "Go to next map" text. - There was one early dialogue with a less/fewer grammar issue. - Alice's dialogue: whose instead of who's and volatile instead of volitile - The ice shards in…
Part of the reason I delved into the Foundry is to see what I could make with the tools. The other part is feeling like I inhabit Faerun through my game characters, and that there are untold stories of the people who live there. The game itself skims over the events taking place. We can read lore when we come across it,…
I played Treasure of Mook Landers and have just a few suggestions: - give the town characters a little more dialogue, and give the players more responses (even if they all lead to the same thing). - the grating by the campfire simply says, "Go to next map," which is a little confusing and bland. I thought I would be…
Hi kb! I'm looking forward to counting chickens. You might want to make the whole quotation in your sig a link, because -derp!- I tried clicking it when you posted in my thread and thought, "Huh! Where is her quest?" Yes, the synapses are slow at times. *leaving you some chocolate chip cookies*
I totally agree - I've been trying to not level up so fast, so that I can enjoy all the maps. I would love it if there were a way to filter out the locusts from our foundry story-centric quests. Honestly, I couldn't care less about boss fights, xp and loot. I put combat in the first one I made because I felt burdened by…
Groshie started a Foundry guild on Mindflayer just today. It's called Questsmiths. I'm looking forward to the server merge, because my other two characters are on Beholder.
***SPOILERS!*** I just finished playing it. I do love a haunted house story! A couple of observations: -You could have a little more OOC when you enter the mansion describing the creepiness, because everyone is familiar with that map from other quests, and it looks all clean and nice. Alternatively, you could meet the…
I admit it: I used the prefab inn/tavern in my quest, but re-built it after learning that everyone is sick of seeing that map. You can easily build your own inn (don't forget that you can auto-decorate and then move stuff around). Stairs and multiple levels are tricky though. I always feel a little sad when there's no…
Hi! I just played Visitors and have a couple of suggestions (most of which I wrote in the review): I got a little confused about the "Talk to Suri" waypoints, because they appeared on the map somewhere else when she was right behind me. I'm not sure how to fix that, since I haven't done a following NPC yet. I was going to…
@redneckronin - wow, that IS strange about Elinore! I had moved her right in front of the door so that players didn't have to look around for her. I hope that was just a bug. I changed the tavern because I'm getting the message that people don't like the pre-made maps. Unfortunately, I don't know how to add levels and…
