I have to say, playing with a good DC in PvP is absolute gold and playing against a good DC in PvP is an absolute nightmare. There are more around then people realise, and i think they actually really undervalued in PvP, especially pug ones. As a CW, i can hold a node with a DC next to me, even against HR/GWF combos.
Well because CoI has lost it's mitigation feature, i might look at saving for a G.PF now (though it removes defense, which is a little bit different). I find, however, that Bile is very effective working through Stealth and Block (even more so with debuffs and smoulder), and also provides a good amount of additional damage…

You do realise, that once at 60, CW is the worst PvP class right? During the leveling phase CWs might seem OP in PvP, but once you ding into end-game and run into TR/GWF/HR and probably the worst for us is GF, then you'll understand how different it actually is. Like anything, there are exceptions to this.
Can anyone, who is a MOF, confirm when FtF applies smoulder? I've just been doing some tests on dummies, and noticed that smoulder isn't being applied at all. Interesting thread. What is everyone's thoughts on Bile vs PF, over-all (not just vrs TR) as an enchant then for CWs. Remembering that new players don't have 2 main weapons slotted with two greater/perfects ^_^
I'm 60 now, and slowly getting geared up (12.2k at the moment with mainly rank 5 enchants and lesser PF). Will also roll a new class soon too to continue on. Have you even read the updates in the thread? At first yes i agree, but since the initial post NW has been restored to 20%, and buffed up to 12 seconds. Chaos Magic is now 10x better (though does lack ally benefits), PD has been put up to 40% up time (which is decent) and IMO Chilling Advantage is now a viable feat to use…
