I do find it a bit crazy that the group finder does not strictly create groups that include one of each role (plus one, obviously). The roles are pretty distinct, and I think they should be utilized. Also, some people discussing healing between battles and when/when not to use a potion: We peeps who roll healers in MMOs…
Did you level a panda in WoW? Probably not... it's awesome. You literally have no idea what you are talking about. Also, the pet battles aren't bad and certainly don't have a negative impact on the game. If you don't want to take part in them, then don't take part in them. They are not a forced part of the experience. Now,…
It's the cool, hipster thing to hate on 4e. I started with 2e (THACO, anyone?) and DM'ed that sucker for many years. When 3 and 3.5 came around my group of friends loved it. Those books took us all the way through high school and college. I started playing 4e a couple years ago, and honestly I really dig the class roles…
I agree with your observations, but I would also like to point out that this tends to be the case in most MMOs at low level. Is it because of the zerg mentality, the lack of defining class skills, or a smaller amount of class knowledge? Who knows. To be quite honest, I have to think all the way back to the early days of…
I mostly agree with you, but you do have to admit that there are a ton of quality Foundry quests sitting at the top of the charts right now. Yes, farmers will up vote the exploit quests, but so far it seems that there are more "players" out there than farmers, and the Foundry quests that deserve to be noted are towards the…
I really hope the F2P model starts to die away soon. I love this game, but would much rather pay a straight up sub fee of $15 per month. The pricing structure of the store currently is extremely heavy handed. On the flip side, there is nothing in the store that is necessary to level, so technically speaking any argument…
I am one of those people who would happily pay a subscription fee. For someone like me, it just takes a lot of guesswork out of the equation. I think LOTRO's subscription tiers are a good example of this. If you subscribe, you get most of the "gates" removed and a small amount of currency per month. I don't buy a ton of…
OP- to do something like that is your choice. Are you a fairly young person? As you grow up, life will give you lots and lots of choices. It's up to YOU what you want to do with them. As for me, I've chosen to level through this game at my own pace, taking in the story because I want to learn it and get to know the…
I'm sorry, OP, but your review seems like it's based on maybe a dozen hours or so of playing the game, if that. If you really are a veteran of MMOs, you know that is not enough time to judge a game. Also, your glossing over of the Foundry, this game's truly unique mechanic, raises a bunch of warning flags in my mind.
I noticed this, as well. I played for maybe a few hours this morning, and every now and then the Foundry page would load as normal. I did a Foundry quest and it also took a few minutes for the review box to pop up after I completed it. Almost like it was lagging or something.
No issues here. Why do people bother posting this garbage? Send a message to the COMPANY, also known as "the only people who could actually help you with your issues."
As the OP said, I think we just need to be realistic and recognize that lots of the Foundry content is going to be sub par. Personally, I can't wait to start crafting my own campaign for you guys! I've DM'ed for about 15 years of my life, and I'm chomping at the bit to publish something in this game.
