Rogue's a class like any other. I easily kill them on both DC and GWF... but that video's hardly a display of anything because I only saw your team outnumbering enemies and taking them down fast. Not blaming you though, it's their fault to walk by themselves into a tower where there's 3-4 of you. IMHO, two rogues playing…
Situation only gets worse as you go up in tiers.. Ever since I hit 4x, I think I've had two or three matches out of ten where there weren't any AFKers. When I'm party leader, I always kick them, but more often than not, the AFKer IS the party leader. HAMSTER.
I don't know about end-game 'cause I'm starting to lose my will to play NWO at mid 40's since the only thing that changes in boss fights is the amount of adds that spawn.
Me neither.. and that's saying a lot, considering how... uh.. "strong" GWFs are at that level. Using a tank companion for that fight is just silly. AI won't ever dodge and the guy hits like a truck. The player, on the other hand...
LOL I did the same. I stopped playing my DC after Mad Dragon because PUGs never bother protecting their healer (yet they constantly cry out for heals...funny that) and healer aggro generator seems pretty much broken. Rolled a GWF and I'm having a ton of fun there. Went into Mad Dragon with a PUG and things went pretty…
Nah. I think we should bring up issues we see, but the "Beta" excuse doesn't work anymore, since this is hardly a beta in the traditional sense. They're already taking your money, the product's already been launched.
Stop being complacent. It's the consumer's "job" to point out mistakes like these in hope that they won't be repeated in the future. I don't think people here are whining about the maintenance. We're only pointing out that there was a screw up on PW's part.
Why would I read the forum when the launcher said maintenance was tomorrow? And there were no in-game warnings whatsoever? Not really surprised people thought it was a crash.
I honestly think that you're better off spending a couple hours reading articles on the forgotten realms wiki. All the titles you've mentioned take place way before the events in this game, and their relevance is debatable.
One screenshot's hardly proof of anything. Gonna tell me to nerf clerics now? PvP is fine. Stop complaining so much and take a few minutes to learn your class and how to counter others'. Good grief.
And it's when MMOs start catering to the "casual crew"'s needs that things go awry. Classes get nerfed Dungeons get nerfed Game turns into a cakewalk. Yeah... more classes would be nice. But they will come. In due time, after enough balancing and tweaking so that they bring something new to the game without breaking it.
Way after, in 1451DR During the first game you had to deal with the Wailing Death plague while during the second it was an ancient evil and its hordes of undead. Needless to say, Neverwinter's hardly a safe place to live in :p Though in all fairness, it was largely unaffected by the Spellplague, but then Mt. Hotenow…
I don't give a rat's *** about what the tooltip says. If you stealth right in front of me... I'll know you're there. If you walk right past me, I'll know you're there. You are NOT hiding in plain sight. You are NOT concealing yourself through magic. So if you get too close to someone, they WILL see you, and they WILL…
A long time has passed since the Neverwinter games. For reference, NWN1 took place in 1372DR, while Neverwinter Online takes place around 1461DR or so. The spellplague (and 4th edition) happened since the first two Neverwinter titles, so while the things that took place in those games did happen and are part of Forgotten…
Seems like a lot of people rolled a rogue after they heard it was "OP" and then find themselves disappointed that things don't die and burst into smithereens by just holding m1.
IIRC, STO had a nice system for their skirmishes (not exactly PvP, but...) where the top three players would get extra rewards on top of the standard participation reward. That could work in NW, albeit with a little tweaking so that AFKers with 0 score would get exactly that - nothing. Encourage people to play the game…
Some of us do, don't worry. It's only logical that people who already spent money on the game should be put on a preferred queue that skips ahead of free players. I think a lot of other MMOs make that distinction. There's the VIP/Monthly subs, then the Preferred/Premium players who've already spent any amount of money on…
Wow, a game had issues at launch. Now that's a surprise! Really folks? 164 pages of whining about queues on launch day? I'm not PW's greatest fan, but at least give the guys time to come up and execute a solution. There's a maintenance scheduled within the next couple hours, save your crying until that one's done.
