  • Why is it lame? There isn't anything you have to have greens for except to upgrade them to blues and epics. They have to make money somehow and these just adds quality to life rather than a must have item as other f2p have done. An as others have said you can actually buy them for AD so with a little time invested you…

  • Actually as was stated ages ago the Man-At-Arms may have an attack that looks like a GF stab but it is actually a hard taunt. If you don't believe me watch it over ride Knights Challenge (GF's only Hard Taunt). This is why it's so stupid pretty much they can run up hit an attack and force aggro. But watch as soon as that…
  • -1 You definitely do not speak for even 1 of the GF's in my guild As a GF I love that there is no standard MMO "Tanking" in this game and people need to get over it. What there is, is a much better mechanic called "Aggro Management" as a class we do great at that. What does hurt us and our role in instances is that there…
  • There are two great specs for Prot/Tact just shop and around and see which one you like. I personally either have Threatning Rush or Lunging Strike on my bar depending on the dungeon I do at 60. Sadly if you plan to PVP in any serious way then you will have to think about Conq spec since it is all about burst damage and…
  • You don't say what dungeon you ran which would impact on the below. See that's a great experience but nothing you described makes use of any new powers. In fact you even mention him using Shield and Repel. So he could still have shunted the majority of the little mobs off the edge and then helped group deal with non minion…
  • You can't go wrong with STR. The increases will always be there. That said CON is only going to get better as max level increases. IT is all going to come down to what sort of style you play. I would love the tier sets to have better parity and if you go tweaking builds each set actually has a place. What hurts most of…
  • I'm not sure how GF's struggle with the instance bosses in maps. I did the same thing for everyone of them. Knights Challenge, Fronline Surge/Bull Rush, Lunge. Rinse Repeat with the occasional pot or Fighters Recovery. It's basically your PVP strategy as well.
  • Mad Dragon and Grey Wolf Den were the only places I struggled as a GF leveling. That said I was always partied with at least one other person and had a cleric companion.
  • Dummies have no DEF so they are not great for testing stuff like this on. Also KC isn't just a DPS buff it is also a DEF buff which is why I would rate it best as a party buff.
  • There are two great tanking/Buff specs out there have a look at those. I recommend focusing more on buffing than tanking though if you have a set group. Sadly if you pug Conq is still going to give you a better playing experience.
  • The buff build is a PVE build that really helps new 60's or Top geared players. So if you run with a set group that build is brilliant. If you pug Conq is better because it allows you to pick up the slack since you often get people who just have no idea.
  • Mine heals per hit when I use Enforced threat so it seems it does deal for every mob hit. Sadly the heal is minor at the best of times. But yes be aware it is an aggro magnet.
  • Maybe break down each enchant description for PVE and PVP since they do differ. Also it was stated by this same thread a while back that bilethorn actually procs a few of our other abilities.
  • Dwarves should net you 18 18 12 with that set as a staring stat. I've ended up with 24 24 15
  • Plague Fire is still of great use in PVE since most everyone has switched to Vorpal. As a PVE focused GF I've actually started snapping it up cheap since the reduction helps everyone in the party and it is fairly easy to apply to pretty much everything on a boss fight.
  • I actually had this happen to me repeatedly. It usually occurred if I PVPed. I ended up having to log in and come back after doing a single quest in the next zone. My quest log was such a mess.
  • I would expand on the chunk system and how it applies to small attacks but otherwise it seems to cover everything. +1 For mods to sticky this for us please.
  • I have to admit but I loath running public Dungeons. It is far too costly having to explain to people the simple mechanics of their class. I've found two or three really good people but for the most part I recruit in guild and don't run if I can't find anyone since I know it will just be a failure. Pretty much as has been…
  • Knights Captain gives better over all increases in PVE. With the caviate of what your group comp is. An all Crit build CW and TR party for instance :) Reasons: 1. The crit boost activates far less often since you will crit far less often. 2. Knight's Captain is a boost both in damage but also in the amount of incoming…
  • You don't stand and tank everything. You do pick up a couple of elite and normal mobs while the group burns down the minion swarm. Move, Move, Move never ever do you stand still and try take it to the face. and yes you are pretty much on your own when it comes to healing. The mistake I find is most people use the words…
  • I would actually suggest that at 60 the Daily dungeon and Daily skirmish becomes a rotation. Each day a new random Dungeon and Skirmish is selected. You have to complete it on that day. This way you can encourage more people to run more of your content. Because before 60 you level out of the quest far too quickly. also…
  • Currently I've seen these effects stack even when fully blocked. 1. Any Life Drain effect, Wight, Battle Wight, Dread Pirate Boss 2. Chill 3. Ray of Enfeeblment 4. Duelist Flurry. 5. Eye of Gruumush 6. Mad Dragon boss poison dot on his straight line breath attack.
  • Ok there are a few ways. 1. Do you have all R7+ Radiants socketed? 2. DO you have a pet? 3. Most likely they have the full 5 Stack of Stalwart activated.

  • How are you getting knocked down and stunned in the same power? As for losing immunity to frontal AOEs. We have to have the center of the AOE infront of us. Just be clever and put it behind us BAM and you've ignored our defence. With a little bit of tactical play you've eliminated two of your complaints in one foul swoop.…
  • Currently as buff spec I'm looking at the stone rather than the cat because of the stats it gives. A word of warning there is a bug about which seems that some people are not getting power from their pets. The recommendation is that you stack power on yourself and then ARP/Crit/Recovery on the pet you choose as appropriate.
  • Thank you very much for the replies and the explanation. It is especially hard to test these things without feedback from a log or one of you guys coming in and explaining the mechanics to us.
  • Also as in any game the fighter calls is much more gear dependent. Make sure your weapon has the most damage you kind find on it at your current level. Blue swords in the late 20s-40s I found made such a difference.
  • Actually the GG timer only filled in the 1.5Hr gap that was always on the schedual. It hasn't replaced any of them. But as a whole the timer is annoying since right now all the GG and DD events are in the time slots I can't play

  • Will you still be going with cat or have you looked into the stones?
  • Actually in runs with people who know how to maximize their class the Buff builds make them go much smoother and just as fast. The rest of the group gets a huge buff to both their DPS which more than makes up for your lower one but also survive much much better os it is far more forgiving of little mistakes. In new PUGs…
