In summary: Boss: Make it look like the warlock is getting a dmg increase but nerf them again. Dev: Done! I increased a lot of insignificant powers and nerfed the ones that are important! Boss: Great work!
Yeah, probably should play other classes more. But I tend to like them less than I like my warlock. I have played all the classes, and deleted most of them. And I'll probably do it again for the comp upgrade tokens. But I just used wizard as an example. Substitute whatever other class you feel is appropriate. And I'm not…
Movement speed is one factor of many. I can get to groups faster than some but unlike a wizard I can't then proceed to one shot a group of mobs. So having the higher movement/shadow slip ability doesn't mean much. Same goes for a Barbie apparently. In an ideal setting, the tank would be the fastest - or at least able to…
I was both, now I'm neither. But could go back to being the first type if it was worth it. It isn't. I need about 13 Coal wards to rank my 14s to 15s. Could I get them with zen, sure. Will I? No.
From my failing memory, it used to be that accounts less than 30 days old were the the highest income source. Can't see that as having changed, and also why longer term players seem to get the short end of the stick so often.
Found this out the hard way myself. Paid for the completion - then found out later I was still going to have to run it. One of the contributing factors to never putting in real money since.
have to agree, building your own is better bang for your buck, but it is more work and you need to research what works best for the purpose you have in mind. In this day and age and for neverwinter specifically, almost any store built gaming machine is more than sufficient to run it at high settings.
I wouldn't be so critical of the warlock's lackluster dps if it was fun to play. Prior to mod 16 the warlock was never the king of DPS, (at least not for a great many mods,) but if you knew the class and had the gear you could be close and in some cases be the best, but it was always fun to play. It was fun to play. Now,…
I just read the VIP announcement post and it contains this statement: "VIP is a loyalty program, designed to reward players with cool benefits and features that enhance convenience. It is not required for the full Neverwinter experience." The current VIP program. however different it may be to what was originally posted is…
There seems to be one person on every warlock thread that sings the praises of the current state of the warlock. They acknowledge it needs some fixing, but then roll right into the 'It does great AOE or ST damage!' and 'I don't know what you are all complaining about, it's great!' Followed by, 'I regularly top the DPS…
@hrakh I have to agree with naive comment. I spent weeks testing the warlock for myself, saw others feedback similar to my own experience with it, people made comments, gave feedback, communication...more comments, more feedback, suggestions, I saw some really good ones too. yet at the end of it all, no communication back…
Someone else suggested this in another thread and I think it's great. If you're queue is taking 5 minutes and you need a tank or healer, bring in Celeste and/or Sgt Knox. And, as unlikely as it maybe, bring in Xuna and/or Makos if you need DPS. This way, even if you are the last player in Neverwinter you can still make…
Honestly, the idea of sacrificing your own life for that of allies is 100% alien to me as a warlock. I'd sacrifice theirs for mine, sure. But in teamplay it should be stealing enemies life and feeding it back to your allies. Not your own. Regardless of the mass delete that hit lifesteal in mod 16. And yeah, what a useless…
A warlock was healing me the other day for ... wait for it .... 1 hp at a time. That was ONE hit point per second. ONE. So again, why would you play a soulweaver? Honestly, if more healers are needed.... healers need to be interesting and meaningful so people want to play them. I was going to make a bunch of warlock…
It's also easy to form a party of 5 and run your CTAs in private queue. As the leader in a private queue you can kick anyone who isn't actively participating. Maybe it's not as easy as just hitting the join queue button, but it takes away all the hassle of dealing with leeches. And you never know, you might meet people…
There is a claims agent in Protectors Enclave. Up the long stairs then head left when you see the curving stair case with red carpet. Don't go up those stairs. @nitocris83 @asterdahl @"mimicking#6533" Can we do something about giving new players access to at least some form of chat? Being new to the game and unable to ask…
This right here sounds like what I'll be doing. And seriously, 30 min wait time is just messed up. For a CTA event. Not even a dungeon run. I'll take my main through and probably help my girlfriend get tokens. All the pugs out there trying to get their CTA completed, I wish you the best of luck.
I bought the SKT token from the zen store for my main and one alt. One Alt completed SKT using a patronage token but the campaign has taken maybe 18 months and was literally done by accident helping other people with quests in the zone and helping them with the weekly. The SKT token isn't pay to win, it's pay to not grind.…
I'm still laughing. I read this to my girlfriend who has and plays a Pally, her comment 'OMG that's exactly what happens!'. Anyway, I took my warlock and used a broken/incomplete loadout and chose soulweaver paragon. Didn't heal anything, don't know how and don't care. Actually when I looked at the healing powers, I just…
I think we've all seen that we want or ask for and what we get are never the same thing. Someone says Tiamat always fails because it's too hard (but really, people didn't know what to do and didn't learn) - the answer is to move it to a higher queue bracket (so more experienced players who get it laugh and go awesome!) It…
Boots: Boots of the Willed +3% At Wills Armor: Executioners Garb +5% (but apparently only gives 3%) Behind Target or Armor: Hags Rags/Fiured Kiuno +3% Ranged/Melee Ring 1: Ebonised Raid/Assault Ring +3% Ranged/Melee Ring 2: +5 Shadow Stalker +2.5% Within x feet of target Arms: Terrored Grips/Jaw Rippers +3% Encounter…
The Chult dummy is a larger dummy, more akin to a boss than a basic mob. No, you can't tell what stats it has without loooking at logs but you can use it to determine base effectiveness. The simplest method is to burn it's health to zero with a timer. Switch powers/loadout, burn it down to zero again. Which was the faster…
If anyone actually played through it on preview. No one from my alliance did, for a major release we have people on preview testing. I'd be surprised if anyone tested it.
