  • If "new" means under level 60, wouldn't the campaign one be useless? (And why aren't other campaigns represented?) Just look at what the old 7-day ones go for on the AH to see the value difference between than and the potion one (5 day, iirc).
  • Make sure to check the "promo tab" -- you'll see lots of things in each tab. The storm rider is the only thing in my first tab, too.
  • You can check this for yourself by looking at the market without even logging in to the game client: use the gateway. The price is, basically, fixed now, though. It won't float above 500 AD for 1 zen; if you try to list higher than 500 it tells you that you can't.
  • That's not one order. That's just the sum of all the open orders at those prices. Even when the backlog is around 1.5 million Zen, it only takes about 12-18 hours to convert AD to Zen. Sometimes it's even faster. (I'll occasionally put through 500 AD just to see how long it takes to get 1 Zen back. I assume I get put in…
  • I voted for ToD. Aside from launch, it would be the only campaign available to players under 60. That's extremely important to casual players. So-called "daily" stuff isn't such a huge grind if a) you don't do it daily and b) it helps you earn experience to level. I can only hope they open up more campaigns/modules that…
  • Their day of listing low price: 2.2m AD. Now the low price: 663k. Decline in value: almost 72%. Way to kill the value of something. It was worth $44. Now more like $13. On the plus side, it shows plenty of people spent money so they can afford the next update. ;)
  • I remember it from the announcement day, too (the BoE part). It's the main reason I went for it. The extra value helps spread my real money out... until the next zen promotion.
  • It looks like the first three got doubled. Maybe it's because their values dropped a bunch after the announcement so, to avoid complaints, they just doubled them. (Yeah, that'll help the values ) Still not complaining. It was a lot of real money to transfer for the rewards.
  • Each reward also says "and all rewards above it." Maybe they took that literally, so if you get the third reward, you'll get 1 of it, 2 of the second, and 3 of the third. ("all rewards above" also includes other "all rewards above" statement). I'm not going to complain unless I don't see the top reward I'm looking for...
  • My rewards are rolling in as I type this. Although, it's not quite how I expected it to work. I did two transfers to add up to bigger rewards, and I already see 2 of the skeletal dog (it was 1 when I went here), but not a higher reward I'm expecting. Anyone else seeing this?
  • Selling items hasn't been that bad on the run-up to 60. I've found several things I can regularly sell for a surprising amount of AD. (In particular, various low level pots that always outsell high level ones.) Converting AD to zen is faster than it seems, too. It's never taken more than 18 hours. Then you can buy stuff…
  • I would actually point out, to myself, that Neverwinter is #45 on Steam: http://steamcharts.com/top/p.2 That's a pretty impressive feat. It also puts the numbers in context. Portal 2 is #75 currently, but not the same genre. EVE Online is #112, also a free-to-play MMO, with an all-time peak of 3690 concurrent players.…
  • That's just Steam. Given it's not the primary platform for the game, I would think the numbers would be a percent of the player base. I had to switch over to the Arc client to redeem codes. Those numbers also seem fine. Concurrent active players is very different from weekly or monthly active players -- and a much, much…
  • I'd have to agree. Seems like you do salvagers for stuff you need. When you can afford a Fey, upgrade to that. Then, finally, when you can afford a dragon hoard, upgrade to that. And then work on upgrading to the 3% dragon hoard. TBH, before I had 3x 1% dragon hoards, I upgraded 1 salvage to 2% and had 2 at 1%. I felt like…
  • I've seen a couple of threads like this lately. Is the game not doing well financially? Is it at risk of shutdown? Why do some people think it's not doing well? When I see the zen<-> ad market numbers, and see how long it takes to get zen, the numbers seem -- well, fine, depending on how big the player base (humans, not…
  • In another game I play, recurring events with identical rewards have the rewards dated so they can be distinguished for collectors and have different levels of scarcity value. e.g. "blah blah 2014" "blah blah 2013" That doesn't really make sense here, but updating a color slight, changing a name a bit, etc. could be nice.…
  • Scarce isn't really the right term. They're available in unlimited supply with zen. The issue, of course, is that they cost a whopping $10USD each worth of zen! As that translates to 500k AD, the AH pricing is a nice 20% discount. So, you could buy the 500k AD for 1000 zen, then buy the c-ward off the AH, then have 100k AD…
  • Likewise. Besides, the 8k AD a day? That's a joke, right? I mean, that's worth 16 US cents(aka 16 zen). The entire month is worth less than a fancy latte. No, that's not incentive at all. (Unless it maybe it was for a free latte... hmm...) Besides, even without being at max level, you can find more than 8k worth of items…
  • Personally, I like the profession system. As a new player, I never expected anything you could craft would be as good as the best drops in the game. If that were so, everyone could easily get the best items by simply crafting. They could add scarce recipes that work well with the campaign sets to improve the set bonuses or…
  • If you're SW, and you choose need, and you equip it... now it's bound. So it's worth 0 AD. At least, that's the point the OP is trying to make. In theory, the system could do a "bind on need," too, to loosely enforce that something is truly needed. If you really do need it, you'll equip it, so the binding would be…
  • There is no potion cooldown out of combat. So drink the smallest heal potions you have on you. 10x 1k heals and done in about 3 seconds. IMO, that's the easiest challenge available and it helps burn up useless-in-combat potions.
  • ^ This. I come from the same angle. Not all of us were playing last year, so this even is new. I don't know the player stats, but it would be said if even a quarter of people playing had played this event before. And, on another note, I opened a bunch of "GoG" boxes, and then sold a bunch. I think selling is more valuable…
  • Maybe this is true of other classes, but I feel like there are choices that don't make sense until you have higher choices picked (feats, dailies, etc.). That is to say, the build you use while leveling seems like it will either be partially useless until around 50+, or won't be as useful as it could be once you hit 50+.…
  • As someone new to the game, this thread is interesting. I've been looking for games with good longevity (the last MMO I played -- still do some -- I was at for 3+ years), while also being good fun for casual players. I work a real day job, have a kid, etc. I'm lucky to get an hour in to play; the queuing system is great…
