Its no rocketscience to understand the way you want to do damage on a GF, specialy gearwise, but the way Cryptic made the system is imho a big flaw. The mechanics are 'meh' at best, kinda logical since the engine is CO-based, but unless it really change at the last 20 lvls, i still believe its 1 of the weakest tanks in MMO…
I am pretty amazed that Cryptic put down the foundy on this way, being it totaly obvious they eventualy would create such 'easy farm' methods. I gues they kept an eye on their old game, CoH, seeing what massive impact architect had on the gameplay/leveling. Then again, its their choice. They wont hurt me for lvling faster…
Would love to see those. Not for that man-at-war companion (worst companion ingame for a GF), but the cleric-one. I maxed out the 4 stock companions now, the Zen one is totaly useless (shield/lifesteal one) and wolf does stupid knockback. So would love to continue with the 4 stock ones.
Why these 2 dont add up? I'm 42 atm, i'm lucky i got a cleric by my side who can ditch out serious ammount of damage, since i cant. Maybe im spoiled by tank-classes of other games, even action-combat MMO's, but this 'guardian' feels pretty borked. Not to mention the companion tank who has zero issues keeping agro.
Companionwise, panther actualy is one of the better. ZEN cleric is completly borked, man at war beats any GF, sellsword trows napkins, wolf is the most annoying knockbackthing ever.
Companions are 'rank', not 'level'. From what i've seen so far, basicly do *2 for their 'actual' level. Unless people are really dedicated to waste other stats to get lifesteal, i managed to get my lifesteal to 4.6%, with or without that companion, it hardly helps.
