  • It may have to nvolve doing seperate spreadsheet profiles for individual quests and using some sort of hyperlink thing but that would take far too long and I wouldn't know much about it. It's probably more Eldarth's expertise in this field.
  • Great work on the archive spreadsheet. It's quite an extensive list of Foundry quests. As the list progresses and piles up, you may want to consider a sort of filtering system to make it easy for people to find specific quests they want to view (not necessary but easy for user convenience and I don't think excel…
  • Tutorial by IGN: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KH0HTML3j_c
  • I don't know if you have some type of archive thread or posting showing all reviewed quests, perhaps a bit late now depending on how many you've done and the amount of time it will take to find these individual posts. This could be helpful for other reviewers and readers as well if they're looking for a quest to play or…
  • I thought the Redcap Snatchers was already reviewed... Ah well. Better to for a more thorough review if it is.
  • Welcome to the Foundry! I am always interested in seeing new publishes and I will definitely have a look at this one. I will re-edit this post upon completion of my feedback analysis. RE-POST: Having problems opening the Arc game launcher, this may take longer than expected. Sinscere apologies for the late feedback. After…
  • I already knew that. I am just in disagreement with developers adding unecessary paying implements. Quest creation slots don't need to be paid for with Zen or real money, just use the same mechanic as STO does but for them to try to to ruin it in the process.
  • Please don't tempt them to adding new Zen paying assets to the Foundry. It will lead to it's downfall...
  • In other MMO's, people would just go to the highest level areas for highest gold and loot value and farm that way. Would it considered different or even exploiting that way? I don't fully understand the logic with this with using Foundry farming as an aid. it appears no different than the alternative.
  • Categorizing the divide between legit and farm exploit quests would have little effect. If an exploit author publishes a farming quest, they are unlikely to publish it under "farming" as the mindset for farm Foundries are automatically exploitary making it easier to find the culprits which I doubt are stupid enough to do…
  • There's quite a large abundance of quest reviews this week. An interesting read no doubt. Agreed. I hope sometime in the future they introduce flying creatures as well. Not just hovering imps but the actual aviation. However, I can see how this is unlikely but would be an interesting possibility. As for the water based.…
  • O.o that was fast. Just as I'd finished, I saw that pop up.
  • I've had a look at this. I will be doing my usual 'five elements of the Foundry' review (well more like four since the fith one is authors dedication to their work which is rather difficult to review on) but I will be reviewing on other elements; Story, gameplay, mechanics and detail. •For a first Foundry, it actually had…
  • probably are misunderstanding. You want them to go to the Community Review Request Forum or the main Quest database itself? If you intend to direct authors to post in the sticky posted review request forum then my previous post still stands. I knew it was in the general area of the 'Foundry Quest Database' but assumed you…
  • Though this would be an excellent idea for convenience and management of forum postings, if there are authors like myself who like to http link their posts to the quest names in their signature banners, it would misdirect a lot of readers trying to find it. I'd rather make a it's own post so it can be quickly read and done…
  • It was an old video from 2013 about publishing on the Foundry. I don't actually know myself if it was. However, one of the first names I saw was Celantra but The name that was used was 'Gemstrike' but most of the Foundry's he was subscribed to was Celantra's. This was only by assumption however since in this video he…
  • Since we are sharing tips, for other tricks for the Foundry, check out this YouTube video on OR logic by Richard Fleming, also known as Celantra. He helped me figure out the Foundy when I started and found it extremely helpful along with others of his Neverwinter Foundry videos. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2rqnwZBn67o
  • 1. I am aware of the lore holes. This is my first Foundry and at this point hadn't been past level 47. Perhaps I should have done some more research before designing the story. 2. Spelling and grammar errors are something I am also aware of but thank you for pointing this out. Before first publish, I had re-read the dialog…
  • Many people have had to use teleport scrolls. This is something I'm still trying to work on. When you approach the final boss, some have said to not move after dialog completion. I have managed to complete it flawlessly several times, however this doesn't come to much as I did make the thing. I'd have to figure out, do you…
  • That's just tempting development companies to add more P2W assets. They may start charging these Foundry Tokens on regular maps. However, something like this could be useable.
  • Correct me if I'm wrong here: To use the Foundry, you are required to make a Foundry character. To do this you must buy a Foundry slot. To buy a Foundry slot you need 10,000 refined Dithilium but to refine Dithilium you need a veteran status which only subscription players can get. You're still essentially paying for it,…
  • Slightly off topic. So I had a delve into some of the other Cryptic/PW games out there and found that STO also had a Foundry system. However, it was pay-to-use. WHY????? The Foundry is possibly one of the best parts of Cryptic games! Even if STO was made before this and there is a lot more content - possibly. So you want…
  • I believe there was another forum that contained suggestions. For Q4, these are some of my suggestions from a another forum. •Timed events •A cut scene/movie animation system similar to the beginning cut scene on the shipwreck and Plague Tower •Multimap Transitioning instead of just one for free roaming •Actual moving…
  • I love choice based quests. I'll be straight in with a review. RE-POST: Detailed analysis: For a first Foundry it was a nice quest. •For a first Foundry it was a nice story. Short but decent. •Exterior map design was excellent. •The general gameplay was short. Had some straight forward clue hunting which could be…
  • I would have thought it still possible to do so, even by titleing both quests under the same name but different chapters or as Colonel suggested, one person per area. Everyone is apparently on the same or connected servers in the Foundry, if Cryptic designed a server system identical to the chat system where people can…
  • Because when you are knocked down, you have to get back up again. It's worth trying then failing than failing at trying. Each patch has both problems and solutions. It probably won't be as bad as you would think.
  • You have to give indie developers like Cryptic some breathing room since they can only go so far. Though with 'Perfect World' sticking their noses in, there is a conflicted pressure from both sides. Consumers and Perfect World telling the devs what they want. Naturally, Perfect World gets the winning decision telling…
  • I'm surprised no one has ever thought of doing their own Foundry trailers. Forum pictures are nice but if we did our own actual trailers, I'm sure there would be far more interest in the Foundry. Wouldn't you like to see something like this for advertisement? Some random Foundry trailer I found on the internet.…
  • With visual reviews, it's basically an entire walkthrough of the quest. If someone see's an entire walkthrough of a game, they won't bother playing it as they have already seen what it looks like. Positive or negative feedback, people won't bother playing it if they've already seen the full gameplay. If you want to…
