Cryptic does not give a rat's behind for anything in this forum.... or the foundry. They would have removed the foundry completely two years ago if not for the fear of a false advertising lawsuit.
The person that started this thread was a sound editor for cryptic. He has not been with the company for over a year.. and this thread was started by him personally, not in behalf of the company. So... NO... cryptic does NOT want your feedback. The foundry is NOT supported. There will be NO improvements for the foundry.…
There's plenty of stuff in these foundry quests... but it's all junk treasure compared to their official content... but the adventures can be a lot better. After all.. it's not really about having the best equipment and magic stuff... it's supposed to be about having fun playing the hero ... or something like that.…
My current project began as an experiment using teleports. That was almost two years ago.. since then, it has been developing into a full-fledged city adventure.. or at least the backdrop for some adventure that may take place somewhere within this little section of the city. I have actually wiped the whole slate clean…
Welcome to the foundry. Yeah... the teleports are bugged... badly. But you can still get them to work. First, using them while play-testing in the editor... completes all the mission objectives.. so.. your mission will be over... but by using the 'play from here' feature you can get around that bug. They work correctly…
I prefer not to delve too deeply into the local lore.. I haven't read any of the books and don't know anything about the 'history' of the game setting... so I kind of use make it up as I go along. My current project is sort of a generic city-based adventure. I want it to feel 'open' .. not 'go here.. get that.. kill…
FX-fog large... is one.of them.. but the point is .. THESE WERE WORKING ... now they don't even show up in the editor, although the effects ARE on the map.
Every single time I try to play with this game... I find something else that WAS working is now broken. What's up with this game? It's not like people actually pay real money for this... oh wait.. yes they do.
While you're here... if you like ... check out my quests... "The Last Outpost" and the sequel "Fortress of Ultimate Evil". Thanks... and happy to help in any way.
An added note... it helps if you can try to complete your work as much as possible.. this will help prevent low ratings. Foundries that are highly rated will get more plays... a few bad reviews can kill your work to the bottom of the pile.
I would like to apologize for my previous flaming rant. I seem to get very frustrated with this game/company at times. To answer the original poster's question... It's rather difficult to get noticed or to get plays. Might I suggest that you advertise your works in every way that you can. Asking your friends to play your…
To tell the truth.. we don't. Our works mostly get completely ignored by the general players of this game. PWE does nothing to help us promote our works (foundry creations don't generate money)... the rewards for playing these quests totally suck.. the tools don't allow us to create the best works... and most of the…
Hey guys... take it from someone that has been involved with D&D for over 40 years... FIX THE FOUNDRY. Then it won't matter how much HAMSTER content you guys release... the content will take care of itself... and you guys can fix your game.
