Well there's that at least. Thank you for pointing that out. It won't help me at this point because I'm probably going to take a few weeks off playing and reevaluate.
People don't want to play the game the way you like to play it, they want to play it they like to play it. No one cares how you think they 'should' be enjoying themselves. Sounds like there's a slot for you on the dev team.
Given your history of being one of the more optimistic posters that's saying quite a lot. I mean, seriously, when devs plan a big move like this do they bother to ask even one single player whether they think it's a good idea? It's possible to go to various websites and actually get paid for solving Captchas. This isn't supposed to be work, it's supposed to be fun. Additionally I'm guessing you have sharp vision and hearing. Not everyone does. For some people like me Captchas can be a frustrating problem though admittedly some are far easier to…
You did indeed make good points. A lot of players seem to feel regular play is so difficult right now they've fallen back to just farming Leadership on the Gateway in hopes they might someday be able to buy some better gear on the AH and catch up. Their last tendril of hope was just severed. Perhaps posts like yours will…
So does this mean people who are used to farming Leadership manually on the Gateway will need to learn how to bot in game because they can no longer make AD farming Leadership manually on the Gateway? Help, I've fallen into a recursive loop and I can't get up... And yes, I know 'recursive loop' is a redundancy. Redundancy…
Fact is most botters are professionals and will adapt to any changes. By botting in game instead for example as many have pointed out. Players adapt to changes by leaving. Farming Leadership on the Gateway was one of the few remaining things many players could still enjoy.
I don't like the change but the cost of a purple leadership asset was over half a million AD last time I checked. Because of in game currency inflation (likely due to botters have tons of AD to throw around) the price of things keeps rising faster than our efforts can produce AD. The more time passes the behinder we get.…
Though I'm in a guild I'm primarily a dedicated solo player. When I read what devs and mods say Strongholds is actually about instead of what people think it's about it's exciting even for someone from my perspective. Of course no matter how fantastic it is people will still react as if the sky is falling. =)
With luck they'll do a rollback and I'll get back the RP I blew thinking they'd actually turn on the double RP as they said they'd do. Unfortunately not having much luck lately.
After worrying all day I was going to miss whatever was left of double RP day because of the maintenance I started clicking feverishly when the game came back up and blew a month's RP on my main. Then I went to the forums and read they forgot to turn on Double RP. Brilliant. On the bright side I didn't do it on the other…
Not sure how the mob balance thing will work out but I haven't tried it yet to speculation is pointless. Everything else in the patch looks good immediately. Going to speculate anyway that the mob balance thing will work out much better than some will predict.
I live in the same time zone as the server and I missed it too. Not devs fault I was sleeping. Glad someone else had some fun while I was getting some winks. Expecting to get every single thing the game offers is like being a homeless guy wandering the city looking for every penny anyone dropped. Have a little joy in life…
Farming is all we do. We farm mobs for drops. We farm instances for drops. We farm other players for glory. Dailies and dungeons are structured farming. To suddenly say there's something wrong with farming and to label players who do so 'bad' is preposterous. Farming is what we do. It's all we do.
Took me all morning to notice strumslinger is posting timely updates under the OP. I wonder how many people fuming didn't notice it either. Thanks for the updates.
Great idea. It'd give people back their bag space and stop the wild swings in RP prices on the AH. Little point in double refinement when RP costs three times as much during the event. It's a stupid shell game which leaves people endlessly fiddling with their inventory to get a few empty slots instead of playing because…
