The Foundry and the Forgotten Realms setting were the two things that made me choose NW over DDO. Since I haven't been able to work on any of my projects for the past couple months my thoughts are starting to wander to other games.
Some additional ideas that struck me are; -Alignment: I can see some cool things being done with enchantments and some side quests here and there. -Make deity choice meaningful. Quests, gear, abilities, etc -Creature types: Undead, goblinoid, reptilian and all the other categories to make attacks, items and abilities…
Many MMOs with territorial have a vulnerability window that is decided on by the controlling player. Meaning that while your stronghold must be vulnerable for two continuous hours a day you get to pick the time. Ideally you want to pick a time when many of your guild mates are around. This could be true for both pvp and…
I don't want to sound like a party pooper but I don't think we need another race. I think the major player races are reasonably well represented right now. While I don't see them being a very popular choice I'd throw my supported behind gnomes if push came to shove.
I'm not sure if I'd rather have a great weapon barbarian or a duel wield. I gues we kind of have two duel wields if you count ranger. I think druids would work well with long spears and other pole arms. Rapiers and lutes for bards?
I want to say that I have spent many hours as a player and as an author interacting with the foundry. I am in love with its unrealized potential. What do you feel The Foundry does right? What feels good to you and what do you have fun doing? Why are you glad The Foundry was implemented in Neverwinter? I believe that the…
When compared to games like LotRO Neverwinter is really lacking in cosmetic gear. I would love if we got a new outfit with each new expansion. Putting backpacks in for necks slots would also be bomb diggity yo.
I was interested in putting together a quest for this contest but none of the new assets from elemental evil have been added to the foundry. Is there any word on when the can be expected?
It would have been nice just to have a heads up that the foundry was going down and possibly an estimation of when we can expect it back. Communication with customers is a good thing and is pretty darn cheap.
I'd like to see paladin with hand weapons and shields. Traditionally they are the only class besides fighter that make use of shields. This would also leave open the possibility of barbarians being a second great weapon class in the future. If the could throw out even just a little healing that would make things less…
While I like this game a good bit I find it hard to believe how few classes there are. Most D&D videogames spoil a player for choice. I'm sure many people have gone on about their favorite class being left out. It has me a little worried for the game that more than a year after launch that iconic classes such as paladins…
I would also like to see some sort of placeable rewards added. I put a lot of detail into my maps and would like to be able to reward players for taking the time to explore them.
A kobold leader rouge and sorcerer. More dungeon vermin like rats fire beetles and oozes. Blackguards and evil cultists. Wilderness encounters such as owlbears treants and dire animals.
