1. Unified inventory. 2. Auto-loot (automatically-assigned, automatically goes into your inventory). 3. Multiple chat windows so I can pin party chat to a separate window. 4. Fix AH searching & Sorting. 5. Change it so that an item only has to be identified if it has magical properties/slots. 6. Sell junk button when at a…
Honest question: Why would you want this to change? If the objective of the dungeon is to defeat the mobs, and the CW can knock them off the ledge, isn't that just as effective as hacking your way through them slowly? I am seriously not trying to be condescending or anything lame like that. I am trying to understand where…
This argument is laughable at best. F2P players have enormous PR value as they draw potential new paying players through word of mouth. Keeping them happy is a really good idea. Aside from that, I'm a paying player (a Founder) and I do not want a wipe. Implementing one would be fraught with all sorts of problems, drive a…
There is a reason you do not manage software development projects, or run software development companies. And if you do either of them, please tell us what company you work for, so that we can avoid it at all costs.
This. (Less the "hate.") Players should be encouraged to experiment with builds. That's why you're given the option to allocate ability points and feat points where you want to, is it not? If that weren't the case, the software would simply assign them for you, and we'd all have the same builds, based on our class. I…
Not a bug, but a usability issue, really. The AH should always suggest a buyout price. It doesn't. Providing a buyout price helps items move off the market faster. You really don't want items to sit on the market for the full (default) 5 days. It doesn't promote a healthy, thriving market.
Everyone needs to realize that in a standard development shop, the Gateway and the Game are probably separate projects, with separate development teams. Further, the each development team has multiple developers on it. Each developer is assigned certain defects to research and correct. Some defects can be corrected…
This only makes me question how a system like this would work. Suppose you have a standard five member party. Three of them roll need. The other two roll greed. Now, under this new system, what happens? Are the two greeds simply excluded from the roll altogether? Or do the needs get a significant bonus to their die roll…
This happened to me a number of times the other day. It's not my internet connection, either. It's blazingly fast in every other game. Chat keeps scrolling by, and I can chat with others, but the rest of the game is not responding.
* Give the party a way to establish a rez point in dungeons that lack campfires. If you die in a dungeon, you should rez at the nearest rez point or campfire, rather than having to run all the way from the entrance to your party. * Give us a "consolidated inventory" option. (Combine all our bags into one big grid.) I hate…
I'm all for a complete revamp of the loot system. Given the speed of combat in this game, we need something that is as fluid as the gameplay. Specifically, we need something that doesn't interrupt us in the middle of combat, or distract us from the fight. I would propose something like this: * Auto-assign the loot to each…
If they do a full wipe, those who bought HotN and similar packages should be able to get their initial AD allotments back. It's only fair. We should not lose them due to other people's bad behavior.
Yeah, I noticed this yesterday. A weapon dropped that was vastly superior to the one I had equipped, yet it still recommended the one I had equipped. The difference? The drop increased damage by about 100 points, and Power by about 200 points. I'd have lost a measly 10 deflection and 60 armor penetration, which I could…
This happens for me as well. It does not save my browser. Cookies are enabled, but, this thing just doesn't work. I'm also noticing that the forums, themselves, don't seem to remember who I am between sessions. I have to log in every time. Likely not a coincidence.
BUMP. This started happening for me after the patch on Thursday. My GPU fan is now running constantly, even with the case completely open. Never had this happen before, and it's only happening with NW. This seriously needs to be addressed!
+1 This is actually a good idea. Anything that can be done to improve performance in congested areas gets my vote. I might also suggest mounts, but I'm guilty of riding from one end of the place to the other because...well, I'm impatient. If they did it, though, I'd cope.
That's debatable. It depends on where the bindability information for an item is stored. If it's in the code, they can change the algorithm, and it's a relatively small change. If it's in resource files, it's a lot more work. If it's in a database, they have to run a SQL script, and make sure they haven't touched anything…
As uncomfortable as it makes me, I must admit that you raise some valid points. In my own personal experience, the key binds for need/greed/pass are very unwieldy. If they won't discard the loot system in favor of something else, I hope they will at least allow us to rebind those keys to something we can get to more easily.
I'm coming into this argument late, so what I offer is likely irrelevant, but there is a point I'd like to make. The developers have an obligation to maintain a financially viable game for as long as they can. Since the game is free to play, they have to monetize it, and those items they offer have to be priced in such a…
Yeah, I tried abiding by the rules on a dungeon run the other day. I needed stuff I needed. Greeded stuff I could use. Passed on everything I couldn't. I walked away with absolutely NOTHING. That Need/Greed System needs to die a painful, fiery death. Preferably sooner, rather than later.
So, I bought the Founder's pack, and according to the billing page, it says: So what the heck does that mean? I'd hate to think you guys are holding on to my 200 bucks.
