And the auto-fill when typing in chat. When I type 'sup' (as in 'hi') I do not mean the guildmates name with sup at the front. Same thing with 'fun'. THE most obnoxious chat I've ever dealt with.
Then I would absolutely LOVE to see cast animations for CW's because they cast CC instantly even BEFORE they dismount. GWF cast animations are far too long.
Don't be mad I watched you stealth and you continued to walk straight at me.. and all I need is 1 hit to make you pop up every second for a few seconds
Power > Recovery > Defense. Crit comes on the side. Also, the majority of the time you out level ALL the dungeons and skirmishes if you just stick to the quest line in the area so it's much faster to just quest. XP in dungeons and skirmishes is minuscule comparatively, unless you want diamonds.
Yes it's supposedly 25%. But it does not happen NEARLY enough for it to be worthwhile. I still get my dwarf *** knocked around. But I went with the dwarf for the stat boosts, not knockback resistance. If dwarfs still had bonuses to goblins/orcs/giants/dragons then they'd be soo much better. But hey, D&D is ****ed now anyway
I love playing my GWF, and am noticeably useful in PvE. First point: GWF's are hard as **** to put down, so you can rez squishy bads and unstoppable can make the rez uninterruptable. Second point: Lot's of aoe for add control. Namely smaller ones. Let single-target deeps get the big guys until the little ones are dead.…
A GWF can handle everything with relative ease up until around 35. After that you get hit like a truck. My mistake was not having any defense, especially since I had the feats that gave me power for defense. So I'd recommend trying that if you aren't. But the best solution is find someone to level with. From 51-60 I ran…
Imo swings shouldn't be faster, they should hit harder. The delay in encounters is terrible, and the constant dodges was unbearable. Luckily I figured how to counter it. I'm not giving it away as I want it under-appreciated but check your powers.
Unstoppable breaks all CC, and you're immune for the duration. If you're taking damage you can have it up every 3 seconds. Earlier levels are bleh for GWF, but higher levels you get encounters that change the tide of fights. I remembered this a little too late, but defense gives you power (assuming you put feats into it)…
Leveling is a *****. You just gotta tank it.. it sucks. I had the fortune of doing 50-60 with a GF guildie and it made things a lot faster and easier, since he barely took damage and I dished it out. The secret I was referring too was regarding PvP tactics, and actually I now use in PvE to build up AP.
To all the people complaining: Learn to play your class. GWF's are meatshields and aoe monster's. And for PvP I'm going to stop giving away the severe advantage that is a GWF, you'll have to figure it out or find it.
As fun as this game is right now, it wouldn't be worth reinvesting time into it. Mainly because I do not enjoy anything about the new D&D they have modeled Neverwinter after. If it was 3.0 or 3.5 I'd be more inclined to reinvest time after a reset.
The range is the same as all other classes 'shift' key dodges. With sprint and charge I can outrun, and chase, any breathing mother****er out there. Even GWF's, because nobody knows it's value. And I hope it stays under-appreciated.
Everyone needs to be 15+, and in the same party and instance and not in any guild at the time. Basically everyone in the party to form the guild must meet at least 1 of those requirements (buy zen or be lvl 15 or whatever else they are) You do not need any prerequisites to join an existing guild.
First 30-40 levels were easy. But once the content started out-leveling the cleric companion you get shat on because that cleric get's glanced at and dies.
You need to switch the GWF and Rogue's roles in your post. As a GWF all those little mobs will die in a single sequence of my slam, and I can use that at least once a fight. If I don't have slam, those little adds while grouped up all die in a couple swings. A rogue would kill one at a time, much slower than a GWF will…
You don't have to outsmart rogues, 99% of them rely on smoke bomb. Also, GWF is weak against GF an Clerics. Not rogues. If we don't mop up the cleric in a single rotation then we won't win the fight solo. However it will take a few minutes for the cleric to win
