Well here is one I use I may make a newone with my NW character but AV is my main for the last many years.

I xperienced the same thing in crafting using gateway I only recieved regular amount but in game did recieve the double ammount. I do love the gateway feature, but please look at the one time security account bug so far everytime i shut down my internet and then log back in it says use the one time password.

The Neverwinter gateway is awesome, I have used it to sell items in the auction house, and to craft and work on my professional skills, it is a great way to be involved in the game when you can't log in and Once I am in a guild I am hoping to fully use those features. see above link for gateway access.
