There is a lot of complaining without any actual facts. A lot are talking about the PvP balance, however, until we see the actual patch notes showing the class balancing fixes, it's pointless to be arguing about this. Wait until the patch notes are released, or the patch is on the test server for people to actually play…
If all else fails, check to see if you have installed any OS patches or driver updates at the point when this issue happened. I noticed I got a prompt to install the new Nvidia drivers yesterday, but so far I haven't bothered.
I'll be the first to admit, I suck at PvP, which is why I'm not a fan of it. However, I think including some real end game content for people who do enjoy PvP is a great idea. I'll certainly try it, and if I don't like it, then no big deal, I'll just do something else instead.
I wonder if everyone will receive a piece of loot for completing the whole event, or if you will have to roll on it. If there is a roll, I really hope it's more than one drop, since sharing one item between 20 for all that work would suck :)
If you had continued reading the article, you would have noticed the following passage: "Along with the upcoming content update, we're also excited to announce that major updates are on the way! Based on the incredible amount of feedback and suggestions we've received from our fans since Open Beta began, Neverwinter will…
Yeah agreed, I see this as being one of the main problems with this design. They really need to make the T1 dungeon worth it for people to want to continue. Otherwise, people will just quit if they lose the PvP battle and queue for the next one.
I'm also having a blast playing this. Yes, there are a lot of issues, but let's see what the first real content patch brings to the table before we gather up the pitchforks :)
If they created a whole separate faction in the game where you could play the more evil races, that would be awesome. Then you could have open PvP areas, contested PvP dungeons etc.
What founders pack gave you STO rewards? Just curious as I bought the Guardian pack and also started playing STO recently, wondering if I missed something :)
I'll never understand MMO's that launch without some kind of player/guild housing in place. Especially for FTP games, you would think this would open up a huge opportunity for items on the cash shop. Players go nuts for this kind of thing.
My guess is that we will not see any kind of content/functionality fixes until the first big major patch, which will also include module 1 and the new race/class. Just my opinion.
Load the game and log in. In the bottom left hit the Options Select Video Check the "Show Advanced Video Settings" Scroll down to "Max Shader Quality" and set this to Low Hit Apply Now try launching the game. This worked for me and solves the issue of Safe Mode resetting all the graphics options.
Here is a better option than the "Safe Mode" fix. Load the game and log in. In the bottom left hit the Options Select Video Check the "Show Advanced Video Settings" Scroll down to "Max Shader Quality" and set this to Low Hit Apply Now try launching the game. This worked for me and solves the issue of Safe Mode resetting…
