  • Confirmed with the quest givers in Hotenow as well. Vendors seem to work fine however.
  • This and ten chars
  • I can see the appeal of both too (having geared up 4 alts with PvP gear, it's a good way for fresh 60s to walk into an epic set) and don't get me wrong... I do enjoy the matches as they are now (well as much as anyone can enjoy one game type on two fairly dull maps) but I would like to see a level playing field as far as…
  • So would a range of items and enchants you could choose from to compliment your build, but with a hard cap on power plateaux of those items appeal to you? This isn't my first rodeo; I've been a committed pvp player in MMOs since UO, and I've always found that, in games where gear obtained outside of PvP gives players an…
  • Annnd that's why I made the edit :) It worked pretty well in GW1, I should imagine that, after the cashmoney whiners got over it, it'd work pretty well here too and would demonstrate actual skill not access to a credit card.
  • This is why I support the direction of giving every player, when they enter a PvP match, a standard gear set* instead of the gear they are wearing. Use whatever build you like but you're going to be in the same gear as anyone else of your class. This immediately removes item imbalance from PvP. Further, adding a ranking…
  • Unfortunately, after some changes to how the battleground worked, AV became a zerg rush where you sent all your rogues north while everyone else capped as they rode up. This second version of AV (which, again unfortunately, is the one most people are familiar with) is not a good example of large scale PvP on an open map.…

  • You forgot Play a game where being good at PvP requires skill not item imbalance
  • Internet terms: You're doing it wrong.
  • Simple answer: Don't spend the money if you don't like what you're getting. It'll save you having to complain on the internet about it.
  • I'd rather have new 5v5 maps and a 20v20 map that didn't lend itself to mindless zerging please. Open world pvp always degenerates into unevenly matched ganking. I know it, you know it, we all know it.

  • You mean getting gear without having to spend the glory, thuse saving yourself a bit of time? Like WoW did in WOTLK? Sounds an alright idea personally.
  • Computer says "No"
  • The pvp map is zergtastic to say the least, which removes pretty much all the fun from it.
  • Still need to read the rest of the thread beyond this, but maybe adding the slow component of Not So Fast to Mighty Leap and replacing Not So Fast itself with another aoe but with an aoe bleed or aoe mark application component instead of the slow? That seems like it would give both Mighty Leap and Not So Fast (or whatever…
  • I've been doing a Planescape campaign I found on the Foundry for my daily. 4 quests, pretty fun, not hugely time consuming after you've memorised the steps.
  • PvP in Rift started out okay and slowly became more of a joke as time went on, negating any skill or time you'd sunk into gearing/specing for PvP. Pretty much like everything else in Rift really.
  • Portable Hole please. Then at least I'd buy a bag of holding just to settle that old argument.
  • The thing is with trading their items bought via AD gained with the exploit to mule accounts, regardless of how many proxys they sit behind while doing so, is that they would have to trade an abnormal amount of those items and all that is logged. Therefore checking back to see who has traded in that manner is entirely…
  • editor ate my reply, bah.
  • Awesome guide. Also, if anyone knows how to get Neverwinter to recognise the AMD card in my laptop instead of the onboard I'd really appreciate it. I've tried doing it via AMD Switchable Graphics and the in-game troubleshooting options but no joy.
