I can't see player housing being of any real use, to be honest. Aside from another money-sink. Good for the Zen buyers, but not for anyone else. Unless it used AD or Gold. But a Guild Base/Hall is definitely a much better idea. It could actually be another use for the masses of Gold that I'm sure everyone has just lying…
