Like I said, with Chris as our ED now, I would be VERY surprised if that wasn't coming in the future. Every livestream he talks about horizontal progression and how they can make the game more and more accessible. So, I couldn't agree with you more on scaling. It's going to happen, everyone here against it is just going to…
Add in some cosmetic rewards when they redo leveling scaling later this year. If there's anything that motivates a endgame player it's fashion (apparently).
Scaling a necessary evil with most MMOs these days. I actually wouldn't even call it evil. I really, really like scaling. I like to help new players a lot, it's one of my main things I do in MMOs. With level scaling it's much easier to help people learn the game and be on somewhat of same playing field. The biggest turn…
You realize that first thing would happen regardless of randomization or not. It would only not be a thing with premades/statics. In the before times in MMOs, we'd yell outside of the instance door for a group and that's how we found people to fill groups, we'd also kick them if they weren't up to snuff. This first thing…
You, kind of, described Heaven on High/Palace of the Dead from FFXIV. It was fun gateway content, but it got pretty boring really fast honestly. I wouldn't mind something like that in NW as long as it had some cool cosmetic rewards.
Yeah I remember it happening earlier this year, but it was fine all through March and April. This last patch that rolled out it's broken again, haha. They fix one thing and break 10 others. I feel bad for the devs, they can't get a break.
I'd agree with this, it's not for NW. A lot of the MMOs I played with a "classless" system actually did lead to three classes in the end: DPS, Tank, and Healer. Those were the classes because most people chose the minmaxing route since a lot of the endgame content was balanced around it.
I don't think they're going to fix many achievement-related issues since the achievement rework is set for early next year to release. They might fix it.
But, this is an MMO and that won't happen. The RQs create variety on both the vertical and horizontal spectrum, which is why it's such a popular idea in almost every MMO. Your suggestion would lead to one outcome: min maxing. It always happens, regardless of MMO. It's just a numbers game after all, people will boil it down…
All this would do is have people farm RSQ over and over and overe. There's no incentive to play anything else. The average completion times have to be taken into consideration when it comes to the rAD rewards. Skirmishes, on average, take like 5 minutes to complete with a competent group. People will just take advantage of…
Feedback: Please stop making new fashion items, we have the awesome appearance catalog now. I just want to mix and match gear sets. Make them all the Level 1 Transmute gear appearance items please! Or give me the option to trade in fashion items to a vendor for their Level 1 Transmute equivalents.
This is how you kill a game. There's a reason why most MMOs are implementing a level scaling system and it's not to punish veterans. I've been playing since beta and I welcome a decent scaling system. I run and retain new players every day through different pieces of content and teach them the basics. I love being able to…
Chris addressed this a bit in the livestream. He said the scaling update will help address these issues and they'll have it on preview when it's ready. He said they're interested in player feedback on preview for the scaling changes. That's about all he said. I look forward to the changes.
Institute hard caps on stats for leveling content. Some guy in Cragmire had 100k power and did 5m damage, one shot literally everything. If the leveling content had hard caps for stats then it would help solve the problem. That way, regardless of being tuned to item level scaling, if your power is over X amount, it still…
It doesn't help that scaling is still broken and people can just cheese the item scaling to blast through new dungeons. If the scaling worked, EVERY dungeon would require people to slow down and do their job. I mean, I get it. As a veteran player I love speed runs, but it's unhealthy for new players that think the game is…
No support from me. This would take up too much dev time and there's literally no point. People will ignore the tutorial or not care and still be bad. Other MMOs tried introducing "raid" tutorials and people ended up just as bad. Half an hour is not bad at all, seriously. Other MMO DPS queues are an hour+ for content, lol.
I have those as well, but I've been helping a lot of new players and every one of them asked me what Leadership is and when do they get it, lol. It has to be confusing for new players.
I love DDOs airship system. Smaller guilds get a small boost to resource gain to make it way less depressing to gather resources. It's not a massive boost, and larger guilds still progress way faster--but if smaller guilds got their resources cut a bit that would be cool.
Question for stream:* Can you allow us to rename bags so we can better organize them? Like renaming them "Weapon/Sets" or "Enchanting Stuff" * Could you guys look at making the fashion gear into Level 1 Transmute gear items? I'd love to be able to use my golden crown with my other actual gear. * Also speaking of that, what…
A lot of the bags have massive names and by doing a note at a end, a lot of us wouldn't be able to see it unless we resize it like crazy. Maybe the opposite? (Weapons/Sets) Greater Bag of Holding. I'd be game for that, literally anything please.
Sounds like an easy way for bots to bomb an economy. There's a reason why most MMOs that have it where you can buy their premium currency are all player-run. 2 months is a bit long, it's about a day per million Zen on the market. The key is to make weekly (or even daily) requests so you have a healthy flow of Zen instead…
All the leveling skirmishes have been removed, but (for some reason) there are still a lot of references and skirmish masters that want you to do them. Just like refinement reagents still reading that you can get them from the Leadership skill (which is also gone). Lots of stuff seems to never gets taken out of the game…
