GS is actually based off almost all your stats, not just power. some exceptions are utility stats like +exp gain, +glory gain, +movement, etc.

How do you do this by the way? I'd like to spend the AD I got from the beginner pack. Is there a specific quest I'm supposed to be doing in the leadership profession? Do I need to reach a certain profession level to access that quest? Or do I just keep spamming the lower level quests? Anyone know?
