There are suggestiosn elsewhere that this is a result of deciding NOT to start the PVP event and moving the CTA up instead, due to a bug/exploit affecting TRs.
Anyone think there is any merit to this?
The pvp event was started.
It just wasn't advertised very well. You queue for Domination and get event seals to spend in trade of blades.
Conspiracy theory says that Neverwinter Online is in reality New World Order undercover and they're being DDOS'd by hackers from Watinkan due to Paladin nerfs.
Why do people get so mad when the game goes down? Seriously, I would love a logical answer to that. It is an online game, not a medical life support system. I Love NW, but if goes down, oh well.. there are lots of other things I can do.
Right now I think the anger is that the estimates we're being given are so unreliable, we are not getting any real information on the problem beyond "there IS a problem", and also that anyone who complains is disappearing like a USSR dissenter.
Update 1: Maintenance extended until 10:00am PDT (1:00pm EDT / 19:00 CEST).
Update 2: Maintenance extended until 11:00am PDT (2:00pm EDT / 20:00 CEST).

server downtime.. remember that thing where the server was down and people couldn't play and there was no explanation given? Yeah, that is what I am talking about.
Looks like their party just remembered that the Pit Fiend is a sub-boss before the Mad Dragon. Good luck guys, mind those spawn waves. Hopefully the rest of the fixes wont take too terribly long.
I just googled "queue for domination" to see if there were any useful tips there on how to take part in the pvp event, and this was one of the results of my search:

would be nice if gateway still worked at least. I doubt anything about that is bugged atm
Lol. I used the gateway to finish Alchemical Research (or whatever it's called) on my main but the profession didn't level up even though the exp meter was full and showing 100/100. Everything that can bug will bug now...
They put the wrong event up CTA just got announced inplace of the pvp event which had relly expensive items really cheap aka by bye money gain so they maed it CTA while they fix the pvp event.
Lol. I used the gateway to finish Alchemical Research (or whatever it's called) on my main but the profession didn't level up even though the exp meter was full and showing 100/100. Everything that can bug will bug now...
I meant bugged to the point it needs to be offline. ive had that happen too fyi, you just need to switch toons and back again or relaunch gateway to fix.

Nor even a single word about to fix the SW issue in "Harrowstorm" - use of "tab" key no longer work...

This is an extended maintenance as is, 4 1/2 hr's longer then expected!!
