Why have the devs not upgraded some companion's active bonuses since we have level 70 difficulty now? These active bonuses were created when the level cap and difficulty was on a scale of level 60... and those active bonuses are still the same. They went ahead and upgraded stats of artifacts, as well as enchants and runestones... but these active bonus values have been left behind and their value has diminished greatly, do the devs not see that there is less incentive to have companions now than before? Do they not see that certain zen companions lose value, and lose their incentive to be bought? Did they forget about scaling their active bonuses up to the current level 70 content? Discuss.
Forget? probably no. Maybe either intentionally don't want to, maybe have that on their to-do-list (which might by now be longer than the Library of Congress' catalog listing....), maybe they're already working on it.

Not just companions, I have a Barkshield that cost me coalescents, now its useless. They should at least provide us with something that gives back the coalescents, I spent zen to get them and they have now basically stolen them from me.
I still find it amazing that they will release the new kenku companion in the ZEN store soon, with active bonus that follows the scale of meager stats that won't help much in level 70 difficulty maps. Either lower the prices of companions adequately, or upgrade and adjust their active bonuses accordingly to level 70 content, at least when you upgrade them to legendary level. These active bonuses need to be revamped Cryptic!!

Not to reintroduce too much power creep after a reset of the game? It's supposed to be a fresh start for another year or two - before lvl 80. If companions active bonuses are made even more powerful, then we're back on the track of crazy power creep right after a new level cap.
I don't even understand why would someone use a +stats companion, it's not useful, it has never been useful and it will never be useful, unless they start giving ridiculous amounts of stats.

This isn't about power creep, this is about a much-needed balancing to an outdated issue. I said some companions need an active bonus boost, not all. For example, cave bear or rimefire golem give a measly 1000 hp each. In the grand scheme of things right now, that active bonus is peanuts and needs to be severely updated. Other companions don't need to be upgraded because they give a satisfactory active bonus as they are already...
They updated our runestone stats significantly to rank 12, they updated our artifact stats significantly in mythic, but companions have not been updated - and it's ironic too since these companions are a ZEN store selling point, and artifacts and runestones are not, LOL.

...but the RP to get where they really matter can be.

I would be happy if the Legendary bonus worked. I don't know if it's working for yall but the Oathbound Paladins legendary bonus does not work for me...

The purpose is that we, players, have to use the new sets instead of using the old T2 ones. If you can stack enough HPs with pets, runes and artifacts, then one of the major objectives of module 6 will not be achieved, ie killing high prophet, high vizier, avatar of war, and so on.

I lolled so hard when I saw the new companion bonuses as well. They will get to it haha. A lot of complaints already.
Soon you will see "Companion Active Bonuses Now Scale With Character Level" That takes a TON OF WORK to pull off.

What?! You do realize that with the new purple equipment for companions that augment companions can provide a boost of more than +2500 power to your character?!

I'm not talking about augments, i'm talking about companions having an active bonus giving some extra stats.

Some people use companions also for their active ablities... ...sure, DD, aggroing stuff bad etc., but...
Also some of the stat boosts can actually be (or had actually been) somewhat helpful, as they're not class-bound like armour and underwear. Ever tried pre-Mod-6 to bring a DC to 2.5k ArPen, e.g.???
The active bonus from some companions is a flat boost to base stats. Others are based upon a percentage increase. Those based upon a percentage increase are automatically updated.

Did you buy a $25 companion before mod6 and now it sucks? Well...why don't you buy that new mod6 $25 companion that sucks a little less?
You're not going to get many freebies in this game. Especially when the company can make you pay for it.
