Wow those really are funny. Unfortunately it's not just the dwarf helmets. I have a human with a beard and the beard clips through any helm he uses. Amateurish to say the least. Pretty much any game I've ever played takes into account character hair and stuff with the equipment models.

P.S. Also really a lot of the armor and helms clip into each other, even worse.

True...if they just widened the hole a tad, it'd be a perfect fit for that schnoz.

I would have thought that the helmet would supercede anything underneath it, using only the head size sliders to similarly change the size of the helmet.

This is unfortunate and seems like it should have been oh so easy to work around.

My tail just glitches through everything. But the worst is it glitches through the horses back.

Not much they could do for a tail and armor I'd think. Except for giving every armor a drawn black hole to appear like the tail is sticking through. As for mounts though, EQ2 has its Iksar tails curl around on the side while mounted. I would guess it'd be near impossible to replicate here as the tails animate while mounted and we have many different shaped mounts.

Helmets are as complicated as they want to make it. If they oversimplify and have the helmet just replace the head, then people will complain its not realistic. If they try to keep the head geometry (horns, hair, or in this case nose) while placing a helm around it, then they have clipping and people still complain. Some games do a mix of both, like having the helmet replace the basic stuff, but changing the characters hairstyle while the helm is equipped so that it wouldn't clip. Not sure why they didn't just make the helms shaped so they'd cover the nose though.

Game has some kind of weird linking too. For instance I noticed on my CW that hand size seems to adjust weapon shape. If I make a CW with the longest hands possible then his orb is an oval instead of a circular sphere. A orc/tiefling GWF with lean shape and adjusted chest size and suddenly his sword is cutting him in half every time he sheathes it.

Hope they fix the nose thing though, that just looks bad.

Sorry for this thread necromancy, but these clipping problems still exists today. They said the fix from NW.15.20140520a.5 from 29.05.2014 fixed that, but unfortunately it didn't fix it. Currently there is no head piece my dwarf DC can wear without clipping errors. I made a collage and added your nose pics, clansman2013. I tested your helms on the preview server and this error is still there.
I just posted here to let players suffering from this bug know, that I wrote also an inGame Bugreport. And I encourage everyone to write an inGame Bugreport, too. To draw the attention to this error, which shouldn't be hard to resolve.

Here is the collage (click to enlarge):

I always thought that was intentional.
A little bit of levity for a group often portrayed as comically curmudgeonly.
It's my single favorite part of playing a Dwarf character, especially my GF The Forumite, worlds angriest, most incoherent Dwarf (created during a period of MASSIVE Forum unrest some time ago, when it was wall to wall Nerd Rage here).

I, for one, hope they keep this as is. It's just too funny to lose.
If nothing else, changing this would really put a damper on my upcoming Dwarf Paladin, Sir Schnozalot.

The sky you see now, you have never seen before. The perfect moment is now. Be glad of it.' Terry Pratchet The Thief Of Time

I saw a really horrifying example recently where someone's dwarven GWF was wearing his helm largely embedded inside his face, with various little metal tabs sticking out here and there. I guess it was a good demonstration of his tolerance for pain.
