Abaddon, i made some test trying to max my ArPen that is the stat that seem to work different. Ive reach 4746 without red dragon proc and at lvl 63 i get 67,3% RI, then Ive enter the same minidungeon than before to rescale to lvl70 and those same 4746 got me 43,9% RI, but once start figthing to make the greater red dragon glyph my ArPen reached 5546 with 50.2% RI. I jope that last value at 5,5k ArPen after being rescaled help u.
Question: With the big boost in ArP and I do forsee most people stacking it and able to reach probably more than 60-70% RI pretty effortlessly. Does that mean no point to stack defense in PvP? The DR is basically bypassed anyway.
If your a dragonbound OP you can hit 40% with out ever slotting any crit you just need a wisdom belt and force of will

Yeah, GMC's response was to my request for the curves. I read that as "well, I don't want to disclose that information so I'm going to simultaneously say it's really complicated and you wouldn't understand, and downplay its importance so you don't look into it." When they say the curves are 3D and 4D, what they mean is that they are level dependent. So they have, at least, two variables (level and the stat itself, like Power). All I did was hold one variable constant (level) so that it could be graphed in 2D. Level 70 is really the only curve people care about since that is where we will be spending the vast majority of time.
ahh I see, thanks!

Not quite, your forgetting the gear will be 2 to 3x more powerful stat wise so in away it tends to balance out between gear and higher skill points. So tech. you come out a bit more powerful in the end.
tnx
This is what its SUPPOSED to be, but yet to be confirmed on PTR thus far.
Drow PVP gear is epic item lvl 120-130ish and doesnt provide 2-3x the stats the lower PVP gear does.
Maybe PVP gear will just be a joke at lvl 70 and meant to be "Starter" items. However if this is the case, then again we go back to ARP being a huge problem for PVP since most people will have NO DR.
This puts most of the DR onto Tenacity which cannot be mitigated which forces you to use PVP gear.
Sincerely hope they look at buffing AC AND Buffing Tenacity DR only to be double the effectiveness (30% tenacity = 60% DR against players while still 30% crit/cc resist)
devs can you respond if the boons of previous campaigns will be appropriate with new status lines as well as being made with enchants and apparently with the fortification kits ?

If it's true, that the RI value can reach 40%+, every defensive build is very hard hurt, especially with the upcoming defensevalue, that's a huge downgrade. What's the purpose, to waste 8k+ stats to have a downgrade to 2k vs. the 4/5k of the enemy one?
The whole system doesn't look balanced on the graphs, but I need to test it with my own chars.
But independent of any build/char, the boonsystem suck more and more with such a change. I already reported, that the +250 due boon was worth .4%! That was less as the value before(straight +1% DR)... and on level 70?! Same with companion stats(if you don't want to pay x M AD...) giver/artefact/belts and whatever... Seriously? While the system is broken with statinflation, killing any real meaning in stats is just... a silly attempt to bring down the system(like with introducing different damage types and dr for these types...).
Actually, the Armor Penetration curve is not quite linear. It is roughly 100 points = 1%. However up in higher ranges you get less return. It's not major, but it is noticeable.
Also in my testing the highest DR I've seen is 60%. That's what Tiamat has.

Why is that nobody is surprised?

The new curves are as follows:
Most stats - Roughly 400 points = 1%
Recovery - Roughly 200 points = 1%
Armor Pen - Roughly 100 points = 1%
Max DR has been suggested to be 83%. Then, there's this:
