Sharing my personal experience with my Fury Soulbinder. First of all, u should know that currently the SW is the 'worst' class in PvP terms. It can deliver a lot of dmg (esp if ure Fury), but once ure tagget, ure dusted. U can never be the frontman, unless fighting ppl with way less GS (RIP), in a 1v1 situation, theres a very high chance ull lose. Its better (and safer) to play as a 'support' in its current state.
So, for my SW I run Essence Defiler and Hand of Blight as at-wills, Borrowed Time and Shadow Walk as utilities, Brood of Hadar and Tyrannical Threat as dailies and Warlocks Bargain, Harrowstorm and Wraiths Shadow as encounters. Again, this is the setup that works for me, so basically, all u have to do is keep urself behind someone else and help him in killing whatever is against ur team. If ure tagged or alone, run as much as u can til someone else come and save ur a$$. Its sad, but its true. :P

a lot dmg and die fast?
adjust your strategie and do more for defense stats like tenacity, hp, defense, deflect.
i saw many caster classes who can tank this way. in endgame pvp, all classes relative ballanced.
SW are so squishy and easy to kill, competitive pvp'ers all target them first. Sadly, holding onto a node longer is more useful overall than being a dps support monster that dies on a node 1v1. After trying out all of the specs in pvp (Hell-fury, Hell-tempt, Soul-fury, Soul-tempt) I eventually went back to Hell-fury spec but not as full glass cannon, perhaps wood cannon (still 45k HP and full BI gear). The primary support/kite role (less kills and still dying) feels like a consolation prize and just not as fun. I struggle to get my sw higher than page 30 or so in leaderboard but this is good ranking maybe the highest current for a Hell-fury spec lock. SW are sparse higher in leaderboard than this and that handful is soulbinder (usuallt sb-tempt) path. What matters more is having fun, playing it your way, and finding a reason not to strip/scrap a toon and swtich to TR/CW etc:))
So in general the sw is currently boxed in to being kind of forced into a particular playstyle and build (kite-lock or float-locK) to be only a fraction as useful in very tough matches as a good TR, DC, etc. Most of the best endgame sw are soulbinder spec (either fury or temptation) and wearing full purified black ice gear (and all defensive Radiant enchants). This is mostly because the incredible HP regeneration afforded soulbinder spec class feat borrowed time coupled with the high HP allows the SW to kite/float to hold a node somewhat decently and still have some damage - and therefore be more useful overall in an endgame pvp match. The damage loss from Hell-fury spec and Soul-tempt spec is huge. There are ways to build a rogue, for example, to give both the damage that rivals hell-fury spec and the survivability comparable to a sou-tempt lock. To have cake and eat it too sure is a luxury but that is not possible for current sw.
40k HP, 2,8 k defence 1,8k toughness, 1,3 LS, 800 regen, nearly all boons on defence (read miserys build)

Soulbinder fury is best option imo, didn´t try damnation so far
since you allways face two TR´s you should take infernal orbs because they auto detect TR in stealth
--> no oneshooting most times, TR comes out of stealth cause of 5 hits from orbs--> you can attack him
then take Harrowstorm and Killing flame, these are by far the most successfull encounters for me
as written above Essence Defiler and Hand of Blight as at-wills, Borrowed Time and Shadow Walk is the best option, hand of blight infight (when30 sparks up)
if i would get a dodging capability i would be very happy with the lock, since atm when focussed by enemy there is too heavy damage from CW-->Iceknife nearly oneshooting me
and TR--> lashing blade, SoD
its not soo bad for SW when you spec Fury for Damage, but Stat yourself for Defenses, that is of course if your solo queuing and end up in largely unreliable groups, or in GG PVP.
Been running GG PvP so that i can finally finish that campaign and work on a new banner (since mod 6 will make my defenders banned useless).
Unfortunately whats working today may or may not exactly work with Mod 6.
I imagine we SW's will be stacking even more HP and as much Lifesteal as possible in order to survive. Not sure what Deflect will be like, everyone will need like a min of 5k Def in order to survive anyone's attack because the amount of Resistance Ignored provided by Armor Pen stat is being buffed majorly. I just feel bad for the GF's, we decent SW in pvp can already 2 shot them thanks to armor pen and killing flames
what will PVP be like in mod 6 since we don´t get a boost in survivability.....?
its gonna be worse when i read the changings in mod 6
impossible to say yet, on test server we are not 70 yet, and we dont have updated Gear Stats yet. We are also missing boons so our stats are wayyyyy off.

I hope they will change some of our stuff, including shift mechanics, during the progress of m6 development. Because so far most of SWs I keep in touch with are totally devastated and frustrated by m6.

thats just th sticker shock when u hit 61 and hte new stat curves.
I know a few people at 70 but i dont think the stats are correct on gear yet. so in all honesty its too early to speak about mod6, but the current state on Test server is a complete fail lol
somehow my lvl 13 Human Pally, has more DR and Lifesteal than my rank 61 SW
