T1, T2s, and so on

The complaints I keep seeing...

"Nobody farms T1s and T2s anymore because of the drops from WoD."

That's not really true... where there may be a shift towards Tiamat, overall there are still people doing these dungeons. Honestly I commend them putting those drops in WoD. It drives down the cost and gives new players at least some kind of affordable set if they have very bad luck with RNG. We are now five mods into the game so the standards have changed as everything shifts up to flow with the new artifact gear. Easily acquiring a T1 set now is equal to starting off with no set back when the game was released. That being said I do agree in order to pull a little bit of traffic back into those dungeons and keep them appealing that new rewards for those chests would be a good step in the right direction.

The fact that prices are down is a good thing for new players. With the amount of time it takes to work on legendary gear you can't expect to get the new stuff right off the bat, but you can enjoy at least a starting set that can help you enjoy a lot of game content thanks to them now being more affordable.

"Belt prices have gone down because they drop so often."

With the amount of time it takes to get it to legendary what's the big deal? So you won't be able to rake in a small fortune off of those people who have bad luck at Great Success. I don't see the problem in the long run with belts being easily obtained by a majority of players.

Yep , we are almost giving away stuff that used to cost a few hundred thousand Astral Diamonds. You now have some great gear set options for very little. You can clear most dungeons with it. Thats just how things are. I suspect, some new actual dungeons in the future that will require 18k min gear score.

Most of the older dungeons have "adds" and I am almost starting to miss those. It makes PUGGING a little easier being its just a matter of Gear Score.

I think what we will see are EPIC EPIC versions of some of the older dugeons which is going to be amazing...providing there is a good reward for doing them....ie some huge refining stones etc.

ok new player can afford to gear fast now, in return they cant make their artifact orange forever, where will they farm AD to buy refine points? your an old player dont be selfish and give the old player chance to gear their characters

I'm not quite sure what you are saying. Just because you get a T1 or T2 set doesn't mean that you can't work towards artifact gear. I expect that as you level to 60 you will already be working on ToD quests.

As an hardcore PvE-only player I used to make several T2 runs per day (>8) either for profit or to help new guild members.
I don't run dungeons anymore. I haven't seen a single guildie asking for help to get a T1 set piece ever since WoD was released. Now the same happens with T2 thanks to Tiamat.
You said there are still people farming those dungeons. NO THERE ARE NOT. There are just a few people doing it for fun and a few idiots running them pointlessly - thats something there will always be.
Since T1s and T2s suddenly became worthless what's the point of lvl 60 blue gear? lvl 60 non T epic gear? Refinement? Spare me.
New content stuff was supposed to be much harder to obtain and thats about it there is no need to change the previous gears drop rate turning them into utter HAMSTER.
How can artifact belts huge price drop be a good thing? How can you farm AD through PvE now? Only Tiamat.
Thats what the game suddenly became to me and several other players. Tiamat.

First of all I don't think calling people (and most would be new players) who are farming T1s and T2s idiots leads to a very productive way of getting your point across. Second, I don't think the real challenge is getting the artifact gear, but rather ranking that gear to legendary which I don't ever see them changing to make it any easier to do. I'm sorry that you guys that were making a ton of AD off of price inflated set pieces from farming runs are having to find a new way to make a better income. Hey, that's the game.

There sort of isn't one though. Not much worth selling and all the ways of making rough AD are capped by refining (which is still not a bad thing).

The thing that gets me is that DD chest loot was made BoP back in the beginning of things ostensibly so that the market wouldn't be flooded with unbound set pieces.

I am sure players will figure something out. They always do in the end. I have said before that I would be all for adding new rewards to T1 and T2 chests.

    Items such as...
    • Companions
    • RP (stones, gems, etc.)
    • Lesser Chants
    • Dye Packs (those from zen store)
    • Mounts

The problem with adding new rewards other than RP to DD chests is that there are so many items that are found in lockboxes and they surely are not going to offer lockbox stuff as a DD chest reward.

The point of running dungeons now is purely to have a chance at an artifact drop but they have such a low drop rate that most folks are not likely to ever see one. So, no completing artifact gear set, even if they get them to anywhere near legendary, which is not going to happen.

you know they made the set pieces you got from dungeon delves chest bound for this reason, right?

my girlfriend is happy cus she can get her Accursed Diabloist set for cheap now, but yes at the same time it makes the T1/T2 dungeons pretty meaningless, unless they are just going there for fun of course... :)

I can't sell anything that drops at Tiamat. Not even the book. All that T2 gear goes straight into my arti gear. I'll be damned if I sell a HV cap, which was over a million when I was farming it, for the 20K it's going for now.

24K per day doesn't buy much RP, nor does it buy 110% mounts or active companion bonuses. It barely covers the price of the campaigns.

Since when was farming dungeons for loot to sell on the AH a way that everyone could "make" ADs? The way the AD system is setup it is impossible for everyone to "make" ADs from selling gear from dungeons (or wherever) on the AH. The AH removes ADs and moves ADs around between people, it doesn't create ADs.
