Yea, saw it on test. Its pretty dang awesome, no more endless stacks of stuff you cant dispose of. While being very clean with the option to hide or expand various tabs.
I can see now why it took so long to increase various stack sizes, if they had this in the works at the time.

Still doesn't excuse them. People clearly stated the had issues. 1 change in a variable would have helped against that issue. But yeah it's good to see.
You see it as an excuse. I see it as time spent on a bandaid when major surgery was just around the corner. You have zero evidence to support the idea that it was both a simple fix or simply adjusting one variable.

I sincerely hope this means they're also going to do away with the concept of expiring event currency, since there's no longer any reason for players to be concerned it takes up physical space they can't spare.
I say this because of the various issues with Lights of Simril last year, leading to basically unspendable overages from Showers of Lights you couldn't help opening (unless you bought a ton of scarves or fireworks), and it would really be obnoxious to lose those prior to the festival this year.

I don't think they deleted our Petals for space sake. If that were true they could've
just made all the items stackable to 1,000. Yet they only bothered with Dragon
Coins on that. They deleted them to make everything even, so you had to play
the event to get anything. (of course buying pigs...*grrr*) I fully expect winter
items to be lost. Even if it is Grinch-like.
Oh. I love the new massive currency listing.
Did you really think anyone could steal the power of the god of thieves?

Marvelous! Thanks for listening, just the system I had asked for!

No, I didn't say they made excuses. I said it doesn't excuse them from:
1) Making it a problem in the first place
2) Not making a short term fix for those who had overfilled their currency and could no longer claim rewards
If it wasn't a simple fix then that's down to bad coding. Why would you even defend them ignoring the issue? Welcome the new change all you want, but we should still criticise them taking long to do so. That's like saying oh why waste time fixing DD chests when it was broken for weeks when they were working on dragon/legendary keys and it's fixed in mod 4 anyway! Maybe because it was having a real effect on people now? The fact that they only stacked to 100, were undiscardable, practically unspendable and you easily got multiple stacks of them was a huge oversight and should not be overlooked because they finially delivered something. The speed to fix actually issues is poor and you should be asking them to step their game up not support them to continue the trend. People have left because the game is a bugfest, it is not a trivial matter. I'm sure they'll learn when it's too late though.
There are still big issues from last year that haven't been fixed.
And it doesn't matter how good an update item is - there will ALWAYS be at least one (or more) people who will have something negative to say. . . just one of those facts of life. . . .

In fact I don't feel any regret for the game at all." looomis said, "I don't like people changing to alts and then bragging about their mains like schizophrenic role players."
Nothing trivial about it. Creating, debugging, and testing the GUI widget was probably the hardest part. All told it was probably a couple of man-months. I've coded GUI widgets for use in 3D engines (in my case using OpenGL). It isn't as easy as some might think as everything (including responding to mouse and keyboard input) has to be created from scratch. In this sort of thing, it's the corner cases that really get you and make perfecting it a chore.

What about currencies you can sell/give such as the Onyx fragments from Dreadring and Fomorian potions?
The Currency bag has been updated to display most currencies into presorted lists including Event Currencies, PvP Currencies, Lockbox Currencies, Campaign Currencies and Dungeon Seals. Bounty items are still stored in a bag so they can be traded.
Perhaps, it depends though. They may have just pulled the old system from another game. Which would mean they didn't have to do much to it at all. While the new one probably had to be made from scratch. Just a possibility.
Either way I don't really see a point in complaining about it now. It was a problem, they fixed it. Sure it took a while, but its done. Time to be happy or if you absolutely have to complain, move on to complaining about a different problem. Just my opinion.
It's the fact that it keeps happening that I'm complaining about.
Having failed to increase of the stack limit upon release, the next best thing would have been to do it for the patch after people were having issues, not wait a whole month when it was reported on the preview (at least I beleive it was). Same for the DD chests, great that they fixed it, but did they have to wait until the next module came out to do something about it? With the gwf roar, they knew it was bugged, they could have easily fixed it before the module patch. They need a change in attitude and that's not going to happen if we just accept things as they are because as I've said, some important issues are still unfixed.
The new UI is nice for the currency set ups, but that doesn't mean they should have ignored the people who overfilled their inventory with undiscarable unspendable stuff.
I'm sorry if my comment would come out as a killjoy or such BUT... this update is currently only available in the Preview/test server. My estimate, these Mod5 changes/updates will be brought to the Live server around December (of this year, of course).
...
So, we all have around 8 more weeks to grumble about existing bugs and such.

I'd say Novermber at the latest. Especially when it seems to be an extension to mod 4 with less of the daily grind (thank god) than mod 4. Though it's not completely up yet on preview as far as I can tell.
Please ensure that there are no limits on currencies, the current build on preview caps tradebars at 3,000 and represents a massive financial loss for players.

Yeah, the caps on types of currency need to go (or be raised to as much as the system is capable of tracking). Most campaign currencies are at 300, which isn't disastrous unless you're maybe wanting to buy dragon steel on one character on an as-needed basis or something (my HR is financing everyone else's attempts at weaponry). But it clipped off a bunch of gold crescents I hadn't gotten around to converting into potions, for example. Still, I earned these 500+ Thayan Scrolls and I want access to them if they ever deign to give us a way to spend them.
Worse, event currencies appear to be all capped at 300 right now, which you require considerably more of to even buy some items. So I should think they're still tweaking, but this would be fairly disastrous if pushed live in the current state. I save Battle Medallions from one CTA to another so that I can put the ones from events where I don't like the skins into buying more stuff from the ones where I do, and their implementation as a multi-event currency seemed to support this. Not being able to hold more than 300 is lame (and I think the peg-leg pants cost more than that too).

Hopefully people are giving them this feedback over in the preview forum as well.

Yeah, it doesn't have its own thread. Some were leaving feedback in the thread announcing the changes though. I know I replied/commented on a feedback thing about the icons lining up or something there. I could be wrong, but I still think that is more likely to get seen than here. I didn't really test the currency amounts to comment on that though. Didn't notice they were capped till it was mentioned here.

I made one for the preview forums just now. Let's use that for specific feedback as well as post specific bugs in the preview bug forum. Thanks!
