Dragonborn New Paid Race: Who will be the Free Race, Draconian or Half-Dragon?

We have the Paid: Menzoberranzan Renegade and the Free: Drow race, the Paid: Moon Elf and the Free: Sun Elf

So, like the Title suggest who do you think will be the Free Race sin we have the Paid: Dragonborn?

    If there is one, it would most likley be a FR regional offshoot of the Dragonborn, like the Dragonborn of Tymanther. Not a racial variant from another D&D World. In the realms, there is only one species of Dragonborn.

    Draconians are a Krynn (Dragonlance) subspecies of Dragonborn in 4e. The only way a Draconaian can come to the Realms is through Spelljammer or via magical means. Such would undoubtedly be rare, far too rare to be a playable race, even if two were to make it here and mate. They'd face perils unlike anything on Krynn and would most likely be absorbed into Dragonborn culture and bloodline.

    Half-dragons no longer exist as a playable race in the Realms in 4e and even if they were to, they would not be related to Dragonborn at all. Different species, different bloodline, different conception, different ecology.

    So, with that in mind, I say bring on the     Dragonborn of Tymanther (or some other regional culture)!

    It is also worth noting the last official statement was that there are no plans to release a free version of the Dragonborn. :)

    That's alwaaays the official statement ;) Good ol fashion non committal PWE. Anyways like Zeb said. There isn't really a subrace of dragonborn in FR. I could see them doing a Dragonborn peasant though. If they end up not giving a free version, they're going to get a bad bad wrap. Or at least offer it for sale for a lot cheaper.

    Yea, I would seriously doubt that they will offer a free version at all. The compromise here seems to be putting the pack in the zen market.

    Your realm isn't an officially licensed D&D product. :)
