Title pretty much says it all! I like Sword Coast, and while the drops are very lackluster, I do enjoy it. I would probably do it a lot more, if it was available during Shard Maintenance.
Another suggestion: When I am running with xp maxed companions, it would be nice to have the chance to earn companion tokens. I have some Blue Companions and would like to have the opportunity to earn tokens to upgrade them to purple. As it stands, when they win a round and earn xp, it is basically a slap in the face since they are maxed at their current level.
not a bad suggestion, however the SCA game and its prizes are linked to neverwinter so when neverwinter goes down for maintenance, so does the gateway. if they had a non-connected version that was up during maintenance, it might be confusing for some players.
As the Gateway directly links to your characters on the servers, I don't think what you're asking is technically reasonable : they would have to put the characters data on some kind of temporary database for the maintenance time, and then update the servers some time right before launching them again ... Very rich environment for bugs I'm afraid. And it would make maintenance longer on top of it.

An easier and probably more wanted option would be to have companion overflow xp being transferred to the character that owns them. It's not that much XP that it will be gamebreaking, but at least it won't go to waste either.
Yes I was thinking this too, and like the idea.
I know it is connected to the servers, but if it was getting enough traffic, it might entice them to create a standalone version. Or the items simply cache, and when you log in to the actual game client they get mailed to you then. Probable: yes. Likely to happen: no.
