Yes, killing 10 million adds with AOE is difficult if you are not specced properly for it. Take 3 PVP CW's (if there are even 3 of them left), the ones with high CON and no ArPen but 40k HP, and put them into the Draco fight. See what happens.
Yeah, they'll swap to their HV set, which if they're doing draco they should have anyway.
Also, I did a legit CN in open beta with a 10k T1 geared CW, no armor/weapon enchants and a rainbow party(doubled on CWs and the highest level enchant was a lesser vorpal) so I suspect that the current crop of CWs will be fine if they understand the fight.
Oh for heaven's sake. It takes more than just a High Vizier set in order to be successful in the Draco fight. The CWs have to be able to kill the adds *quickly* before everyone is overwhelmed by them. PVP-specced CWs who are built so tanky that they have sacrificed most damage output in favor of defense won't survive in that fight.
And you very well know that the Draco strategy back in the "olden days" is much different than it is now, back then everyone bumped adds over the side instead of killing them. Plus the AP-gain nerfs hadn't happened yet. So you wanted high-recovery Singbot CWs who just bumped adds over the edge while everyone else killed Draco. That type of CW didn't need to be specced for high AOE damage output. That is not the case today. Comparing some run back in Open Beta to doing it today is comparing apples and oranges.
