Im sure there are already a lot of threads about this. Please remove injuries when you are flagged for PvP.

I think if someone smashes your head it should be a no injury death. That would give people an incentive to wait for someone to do the deed.

Look at it this way, why die when ur PvEing but flagged for PvP and not have to get an injury like everyone else. It's a hybrid PvE/PvP area so there going to have aspects of both in each area. You can PvP in the PvE area and PvE in the PvP area, and everywhere else in the game is injury death so it's only natural it's in this area aswell

CRAZY MIKE - 14.6k PvE CW

Hate to say it but the cost of getting those injury kits is far less then other games I played for instence, warhammer online also had opvp and when u got killed u had to spend money to repair ur injuries.... it was like 4 gold per injury. There is no reason for the devs to remove this idea from this game. What else are peeps goin to use gold for? Gold in this game seems pretty useless imo, other then injury kits and mybe some health pots I dont use gold at all. Now, if the devs decide to use diamands for injury kits,THEN I could see peeps in an uproar.

You can log off and avoid death. It's simple. Unless you get ganged up by three or more people and get semi-oneshotted, you're pretty much safe.

I agree though. We have to get more people / willing combatants into the area and removing injuries is a simple yet effective change. We've seen this fail in other areas of the game as well. Let's remove punishment and let positive reinforcement (PVP campaign, scrimshaw) take over. oPVP would be that much bigger and better.

It seems to me there just isnt enough encentive to do open pvp. Would be neat if thwy incorperated a keep or a fort defence/ offences, the rewards on successfully taking or defending could be something that everyone wants ad is a prime example. After the success all that contributed has a random roll and those that contributed the most gains a slight bonus to those rolls. It doesnt have to be ad but something peeps really want. Now the whole topic with the injuries after death still think needs to stay its a gold sink. Not many sinks in this game and yes it can be far worse.

Also tye whole logging off trick is very cowerdly, and not very productive to helping the game progress. It would be intresting if peeps continue to do that the devs put in that the next time you log in... that toon still get an injury mabe even two. I know that will get peeps away from opvp but hey if the players cant be good sports about dieing I know I dont want them on my team nor enemy side.

You really think that removing a 20 silver "penalty" as you call it will entice people for open PvP? it takes 1 foundry to make about 2 gold. I seriously doubt that's preventing people from participating. The PvE players are used to that "penalty" already. Nothing would change for them anyway. Maybe there's not that many PvPers around. That would make more sense than a 20 silver "penalty" preventing people from participating in OPvP.

There wouldn't be these kind of threads (and ingame comments) if there wasn't any truth to it. And exactly because the PVP community seems to be small, it can use any help there is.

This game is already grind-heavy and you absolutely don't want people to invest time to get gold to be able to PVP. That's not how you strengthen the slim population in the open world. It might be a minor factor, but it's a start.

Nobody is good sports in (open world) PVP, people that claim that only want more free kills.

Lol free kills arent really free when its 3v1 and enemy runs away and logs cause I killed 1 and 2nd is close to death while I am still just above 1/2 myself. That is an example. This game could be far worse imagine haveing to reapair injuries AND armor....

Sure the cost for the injury kit is not that expensive but its **** annoying that you have to use one. The best scenario would be that if you die in the flagged zone than you do not get an injury. If you die outside of the flagged zone, if you are flagged for pvp or not, you get the injury.

Hey guys, i agree with some of you that 20 silver isn't a lot to spend. But: if you like pvp and play in oPvP a lot, your chances are that you die A LOT. Like you die 10 times within 2 hrs - thats 2 gold already. That might still not be much for some ppl - but i think you get my point - it adds up.

I thought about having an injury healer (like in GG) somewhere, but there again you got the problem of abuse by pve players. But i rly think there can be a better solution!

IWD PvP is dead, nothing to complain about.
M6 almost drains your soul given how boring it is. (c) joocycuzzzzzz

Why are injuries a problem? Kits are cheap and what else is gold really good for. They do not take long to use either, like half a second.

The problem is that there's little incentive to do opvp but you are punished for taking part. I have over 2000 gold and still don't take part in opvp.

As a solution one could introduce special IWD injury kit drops from mobs. (maybe instead of the IWD healing potions which have no use for me anyways).
    Suggestions to improve NW:
    - Dualspec
    - Better rewarding foundry and foundry pvp maps
    - Custom PvP leagues with leaderboards instead of the current 'matchmaking'.
    - Armory
    - make jumping cost stamina (to reduce hopping in pvp)
