Just started a HR today, and must have had some stars in my favor because I noticed the announcement of the
Arc Beta Gift with the
Renegade Illusionist account-wide companion.
Since this companion has both deflect and lifesteal, was thinking of using him instead of a cleric companion (or at least kept as an active companion) - any thoughts on if this is a good idea?

SlingShot Boom Jr. Jocan Traders. Little Lord Forgatty, Dwarf Mean and introducing Necro Torquemada (The Warlock)
Obsidian Oath - Warlock
A whole lot of other Obsidian toons as well.
Aha, new players start with 3 then 4 then 5 !!!
I actually started a new HR after this thread and the Renegade Illusionist is a great pet - would love to have it as a lv 30 Companion if only it was not so $$$

does it do a good job of helping to keep mobs at a distance?
Another Plus is, that the actual Companion is not hit - so more survivable - that is unless swarmed with mobs and he is targeted directly.
I also like the Blue Light's - IT looks Pretty!!!!
