Combat-style mounts that go *poof*?!

Some mounts might be unicorn cute, but why would I want a Tiger that disappears as soon as it's combat time? Seems a natural as a companion, not a mount!

These are your rare, vegetarian, pacifist Tigers.

Fair enough, but it doesn't say that in the description, dammit! *thumps desk*

Certain mounts, like the bear, are available as both a companion and a mount. Perhaps they should offer companion versions of some of the other mounts, too...

Having a companion that doubled as a mount would be outstanding!

Maaan I'd love it if my Nightmare started chasing enemies about kicking them , I used to love Skyrim when the bad guys hit my mount by accident and it ran over and started attacking them.

I've thought about mounted combat before, but I've always bumped into a problem - how would a Rogue fight while mounted? Would he bend down to stab the bad guys with his tiny weapons? How would he be doing his fancy-schmancy Duelist's Flurrys without cutting the horse to shreds? :)

Easy answer to that would be like when Drizzt or Artemis or Jarlaxle or Athrogate would fight. If they didn't dismiss their steeds, the steeds would do what someone else said above...attack. There were even some cases when they would summon their mounts for the soul purpose of attacking. I guess it wouldn't be "mounted combat" tho.

I can't see "mounted combat" working, but a Mount that was also a Companion could work.

I'm thinking of getting the White Tiger, now that they are on Special not sure i like the 'saddle' though ... Ahh, the price of Vanity and Fashion :(
Is it finally a T5/U/T6 KDF Science Ship?
