Reagent Drops

When I last checked in here a few weeks ago, there was some discussion of reagents dropping in skill nodes in dungeons.

The concern was that mobile characters would race to the skill nodes, while GF's would have a hard time ever getting a skill node.

Is this still an issue?

PTS is the worst place to check Dungeon/Skirmishes/PvP - general group content. But maybe yes. The GF will be the last looter and only not seen nodes he will be loot.

if you seriously want to farm skill nodes, dungeons are going to be the last place i would consider doing it in. not only do you have four other immediate people that may also want to grab the same nodes you do, but most dungeon delvers just want to get to the real loot. advantages to farming nodes in various zones: you can change instances if it's too crowded, you can do this run by yourself and won't be in competition to rush to the node before someone else in your party gets it... and you can do it at your leisure so no one can yell at you for being the slow-poke during a dungeon run.

    good luck!

Will not work for blue marks, which will only drop in epic dungeons.

if that's true, then i wouldn't run any dungeons with skill node ninjas. ;)

Blue Marks from epic nodes and chests. Purples from bosses - can't remember if it's only end bosses but I hope not.

I do think this will be a source of party drama though, especially in parties with more than one of a class, GWF+GF included as one. Otherwise, a friendly party could easily come up with a rule that you get the node that pertains to your skill, with vacant skills being decided some other way. Also, some chests are bugged and stop working after a few people use it. Some of them only work once.

It's not "if". This is in the item descriptions and info available to us at this time: drop from skill nodes and bosses in epic dungeons.

There is no indication that the blue marks are going to be solo-obtainable any way other than buying them, and the implications of this are a valid concern for people that run in PUGs and such. All very well for people who can choose to only go dungeoning with trusted friends who'll make sure everyone gets a fair crack at loot. I'm in that position myself. Not everyone has it so good.

There was a suggestion in another thread to make blue marks pop up for a roll the way other blue loot (not from skill nodes) currently does. No word yet (as far as I see) from the dev team on whether they are considering that or not.

If the only way to obtain the blue marks is through epic dungeon skill nodes and bosses then its going to be total drama almost every run unless they drop a lot , putting items that sell in the bazzar for 25k in skill nodes is a stupid idea in the first place and if they are as rare as say arcane crystals and other skill node blues then the prices will be a lot more for the ones not for sale in the bazzar , first thing everybody is going to do upon entering dungeons is make a bee line for the nearest skill nodes lol...

Until they make them roll based I'll be glad I do 95% of my runs with guild members only.
    Obsidian Moonlight - Paladin
    Obsidian Oath - Warlock
A whole lot of other Obsidian toons as well.

I think the blue marks may drop in the Dread Ring dungeons. When I was messing with on Preview, I did a quest that indicated it would give one but the reward was for a lesser or minor mark. Hopefully that's been fixed.

It should pop the window from nodes too, or we gonna have LOTS of dc's, cw's, and hr's fighting mobs right on top of nodes just to be sure they get the nodes. A disadvantage for melee classes there. Also gwf's will be using sprint to get really fast to the nodes, since, it gives more distance per stamina used.

We need to set a time to get a group together on the preview shard, and run one of the quicker/easier dungeons a bunch of times, testing drop rate. I'm up for it any time.

Since stuff in nodes and chests can't currently be eligible for rolls regardless of quality or party loot settings, they'd have to change that first.

FALSE. They all work but people are lazy on voting. When someone opens a chest that have an (let's say blue) item, everyone get to vote on THAT item. Until everyone votes, game refuses to let someone else to open the chest.

More info: Why is this happening? Because if everyone chooses "pass", then next person who opens the chest get THAT item alone. That's why I always advise to pick "greed", even if it's some junk. By greeding, you guarantee that next one (your teammate or you) who opens the chest get new roll (with some enchants, gold etc.) Later you can simply open inventory and discard that item you didn't want on the first place. Vote fast and spread the word about this.
