Human wiz with 27 int. How?

Saw a 60 human wiz with 13 str, 13 con, 11 dex, 27 int, 17 wis, 19 cha. Minus camp buff this seems impossible no? Humans can only max roll an 18 correct? If not, dern, might wanna re-roll my rogue. I only have 3 already haha.

    Humans can have a 20 from the start and from this on I think it's possible to get to 26... I would have to look it up again, but don't you get 6 additional points of base stats.

    Standard 18/13/13 primaries with 10/10/8 secondaries.

    +Human: +2 = 20/13/13 and 10/10/8

    +Level 60 with +6 INT, +5 CHA, +3 WIS, +2 rest = 26/18/16 and 12/12/10.

    +Potion: +1 = 27/19/15 and 13/13/10.

    +Campfire: +1 = 28/20/16 and 14/14/11.

    So, he either had campfire buff or potion.

    Yes, 28 is the highest possible Ability Score.

    K. Thanks. I was thinking I could only hit 18 with the plus 2 human bonus for some reason.

    You can actually get +1 form elixir of Fate and +1 from Hero potion in sharendar, they stack so 29 is current max
