Class after Ranger?

Ok I don't know this for sure but it may have been teased that the druid is the next class. If this is the case why is the druid next, the druid doesn't seem that popular to me. Also it seems it's too nature themed, we have already had fury of the feywild and we are going to get ranger, lets change the theme a bit.

Ok I'm a bit biased and I badly want the bard, but I'm honestly puzzled if the druid is the next class.

Possibly Warlock, possibly Druid, possibly anything else. :)

Druid was implicitly teased, and warlock has been datamined.

Yea, its going to be warlock. Druid was implied to be, possibly, next after the one still in the works was finished.

Warlock also fits the whole theme with the modules. Its a gimmie that ranger was meant to be released with feywild, but slipped. That would of put warlock in line to release with module 2 and would of matched the Theyan theme better.

Warlock sounds cool. I hope druid isn't after warlock.

The producer strongly hinted at Druid in a recent interview.

Of course, long term plans can change between now and when they start to work on the druid (if they haven't already).

"We already have one class beyond the Hunter that's almost, I'd say 50 to 60 percent done, so that will be our next one,"
When asked which classes from that list they're considering, Velasquez let slip one type that "gets mentioned a lot."

"I can imagine the Druid will probably be, if not the next one that we start next, it will probably be soon, because just about everyone when they say, 'What about new classes, like the Ranger or Druid?' Those are the two they always talk about."

The next class is 50-60% complete and could be Warlock and they are thinking of doing Druid after that although that could change.

I think the Warlock is gonna be the next class they release, as it was the most requested class next to the Ranger. As for the Druid, it's one of the most popular classes, even if it's not one of your favorites.

    Just guessing...

    Defender: Guardian Fighter (Dungeoneering)
    Leader: Divine Cleric (Divine)
    Striker melee: Trickster Rogue (Thievery)
    Striker melee: GW Fighter (Dungeoneering)
    Controller: Control Wizard (Arcane)

    Striker ranged: Ranger (Nature)
    Striker ranged: Warlock (Arcane)

    Controller: Druid (Nature)

So after Druid, if the numbers are to be even, we need another Defender and another Leader which can fill the gathering roles of Divine and Thievery.

    Perhaps:
    Defender: Paladin (Divine)
    Leader: Bard (Thievery)

Although Bard is supposed to be Arcane... but if Ranger can be Nature, I think it's not too big a stretch for Bard to be Thievery.
    60 Hunter Ranger
    The rest still up-and-coming!

Incorrect. It was strongly hinted to be next AFTER the one 50% finished was complete. And that one was mentioned to be one talked about on the forums. That one is most likely warlock, it simply fits better. After that, if we follow the hints, will be druid.

If the druid has interesting shape change options (??), which I am not sure of in the new d&d lite rules, it will be plenty popular. If its just an off-cleric, it probably won't be very exciting.

Try Turning the GWF into a defender, and you've got it right.

I would love it if they have or bring out the druid after the ranger but they probably won't do that, the druid is one of my favorite classes along with warlock and cleric to name a few

It's probably the Warlock next, though I really hope the Monk is going to come at some point.

Warlock is probably next, since it's been data-mined from the files already.

I think the class after that will be Paladin, based on ... crafting (!)

Mailsmiths make armor for clerics and GWFs, leatherworkers will make armor for rogues and rangers, tailors will make armor for wizards and warlocks, which leaves platesmiths only making armor for GFs.

The logical class to use plate armor - and add another "healer" class to the game -- is the Paladin.

Personally, I'd love to see a Monk.
Handwraps and shruiken would be their only weapons, robes their only armor.
At-Wills could be a normal punch or karate chop.
Encounters Dragon Tail Sweep, Power Punch, Elemental strikes.
Class feats: The various Elemental alignments
    Dailies: The various Elemental Finishers.
    Mechanic: Centered
Paragon: Path of Light or Darkness
    Shift: Stealth
