Devs, please do something about the very odd look/angle of the bow when it's on your back - it just doesn't look right. I think it needs to be angled downward, with the string sort of tilted toward the ground...

Sort of, basically each encounter/at will has a archery version and a two-weapon version. Each version are on their own cooldowns. So just the daily powers are shared by both weapon styles.
love this class on preview server, but you just know it will get nerfed into the ground on release as soon as the crying starts. ill roll one, but knowing the track record of this game ill not spend a penny doing it cos of the nerfs/changes to gameplay that will and always have happened
Before the end of the year... so anytime between now and December 31st.

A correction to this. When I have done Gauntlgrym T1 runs in most cases as me Cleric leader I don't wait for a long time to find a TANK. T1 Gauntlgrym is well doable without any tank so there goes the Myth you need tank for every important Dungeon.
If you enter without TANK T2 Gauntlgrym or say a tough Dungeon like Castle Never then I would not like to even try them with my Clerics. Ranger will face same problems as every class does comparing to gearscore, but that is a natural thing to me and I don't have some super gear like 14k+.
Honestly me as Cleric(and I have 2 Clerics and 1 Rogue) will gladly chose two dps with best gearscore over totally different class group. However there are some important roles I do see benefit of some class only abilities. Good question is really how will Ranger do in PvE and PvP?
Few 60 lvl rangers i have seen in PvP - imba.
I now start leveling one.
But not sure about dungeons - need try how Marauder’s Escape help in a limited space.

Well... For verify, yesterday go to 2 dunges (cloak and pirate) in team (all 60 lvl) 2 DC + 3 HR.
LOL. I cannot believe it - HR generate tons of agro. More time (90%) adds and boss ignore clerics and fight with HR.
I can spam sunburst in big group of adds, go between adds and HR, etc... - no reactions.
About DPS - i think, summary 3 HR sufficiently to fight.
Only one problem - sometimes for healing need run (because HR jump).
P.S.
I think, need always take one HR to party - this very help DC.

HRs have primary ranged damage and high mobility - I think it makes sense for them to draw aggro from a balance perspective. Or they could kill their damage instead, but where's the fun in that?

I cant believe they are releasing paths for all other classes and they are going to release Ranger with only one... they have had plenty of time to work through this

I agree it looks out of place? It needs to be adjusted some how.

Done by design no doubt. From what I have been able to see of the HR and how they play, they are hardly going to be the crazy DPS monsters everyone seems to think they will (though they have good damage capabilities) that will replace or kill the TR. I actually see the HR being a more refined hybrid class (like the unrefined GWF) in it's own niche. The HR won't be a striker, it will be a skirmisher.
Good damage and decent defensive abilities combined with extreme mobility meant to harass and retreat an enemy rather than all out in your face blow for blow fighting. The HR looks to be one of the most tactically minded of the classes and I think the vast majority of players who pick it up without embracing the skirmish fight style are in for a disappointing experience.
Oh So the hunter will have just 1 path? that's not very nice, it puts them in a worse position than the rest.
Its already pretty well balanced, I don't think it needs two right with release. Though Neverwinter versions of Arcane Archer or Beastmaster would be cool for paragon paths.

They have said that each has it's own cooldown.
Presumably the cooldowns will be longer, though, for balance reasons.

Lol so if the ranger is an essential member for dungeon delve. You can only bring max of 5 classes in a dungeon delve. There will be 6 total classes.
...which class isn't essential
1 defender (guardian Fighter)
1 leader (divine Cleric)
1 controller (control Wizard)
2 strikers (swords hunter Ranger, bow hunter Ranger)
Ta-da
The rest still up-and-coming!
If anything, this makes the Rogue less useful, since Ranger can use sneaky melee, as well as long range tactics.
I'm just glad there is finally a class that uses a bow in this game. I had dubbed it Neverbowinter.

The longer they dont release a dread ring pack means it's that much further away

Gloom level 60 Control Wizard
Dusk level 60 Trickster Rogue
Dawn level 60 Devoted Cleric
Eclipse level 60 Hunter Ranger
Wrath level 60 Great Weapon Fighter
Jinx level 60 Scourge Warlock
I think the same
Third week of November.
(My own deductive reasoning figuring out the way Cryptic rolls after playing them for four years).
