I'm talking about in the PVP zones, their are 1...2..3, obviously the second one is where you and other team duke it out for the right to own it.(In the middle of the map) To my understanding, one person only supposed go to number 1 (the closest base near your spawning point) yet my entire team went to number 1.
Leaving me standing five against one, by the time my team caps the first base. The other team has already destroyed me and caped that base. Isn't it the unwritten rule, you send one person to cap the base closest to you're spawning point, the rest goes to the middle to fight it out.
I must be not understanding something. I see my entire team as a group go to 1, and leaving me by myself to capture the second one. Every second is important, it could mean the difference losing or winning. Am I playing the wrong way, if not. Why do most (not all) team as a group cap the base closest to them leaving the middle base wide open for other side to take.
1) for a game, where teamwork is important, neverwinter's playerbase lack said teamwork skills. Newbies and "vets" both. Not only skills - but the desire to actually participate in the said teamwork, even if there is a reward for cooperation.
2) they want to gain points for capping even if this will harm their team's chances to win. Because 1) and because personal selfishness.

Look the rotation --> Blue > 4@3 , 1@2 > 1Blue v 4Red = 1Blue dies /Red cap 2/ , /Red cap 1/ , Blue cap 3 ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
Red > 1@1 , 4@2 > 4Red v 1Blue = 1Blue dies Red cap 2 , Red cap 1 , / Blue cap 3/
====> Red takes lead with x2 points against Blue ===> ...
Cleary the best tactic is to lure 4 or even 5 to 2/middle location/ 1 is not important as the 1st team fight is.
If one of the teams wins it you can easy cap all 3 locations in the 1st few minutes.
If u go at 2 and whole team goes on 1 i suggest you leave that stupid pug and find another que.
...Its 100% fail if u have noticed.

Putting insults aside for a moment, the reason people do it is because if you don't get any points (which is very possible against a premade) you don't get any glory at all. So by making sure you get some points from capping 1 you can at least then play on knowing you won't get totally stiffed.
This isn't because people are stupid or crazy, it's through bad experiences with ubergeared opposition. Most pugs are probably doing pvp for the daily (and hopefully some fun). If they lose a match, so be it, they still get closer to completing the daily, but it's harsh to walk away after taking a vicious beating with absolutely no glory. Better than DC ing out of the game which is the other popular choice.
Also bear in mind that with more people on the cap it caps faster, so it's not as bad as all that. If you're playing another pug then they're probably doing the same so it works out even, and if you're playing a premade you're probably about to get hammered so lucky you got those points when you did.
BTW, I'm not condoning this behaviour, just offering an explanation as requested by OP.
