Because you didnt get the companion you open a thread to say that event sux.Seriously...
I have done the event about 15 times with my TR and i got the wolf on 3rd or 4th run.I did some more after to check if im lucky to get another wolf to sell it but nothing.I havent seen any of the weapons. This doesnt mean anything. If you are lucky you will get the companion if not and you want it so bad sell something and buy it from auction house.

I have to agree with ladymythos. The wolf sucks and I don't understand why anyone wants it, except as an inventory cluttering fashion pet for killing time in Protector's Enclave.

Random is Random. I've got about 30 of the dyes. Only found one weapon for transmute. At that point I was kinda felt blah... at the thought of running it more. So I just bought the wolf off the AH. Took a break for a day and didn't run it but once yesterday.

It is very fun though, I just kind of burned myself out. Heard they've extended it. So I'll probably start running it again. Just not all day again.

I didn't try this however I do have a story. I came to this game from another because the RNG was completely twisted in that other title. They had in this other title a Wi Flag style algorithm for handling loot so basically what would happen is some people would get everything and some would get nothing. Now this is normal to a degree but this other game was poorly designed because this would happen constantly, it would never waver so it would not be randomized. When game devs make these algorithms they tend try to adjust them to make them sufficiently randomized to help keep this from happening. This will happen from time to time where some get all but not necessarily all get some. So reporting it is good because they do need to know if it's really happening like that.

Over 30 runs and no companion seriously? Honestly never played a F2p/B2p/ or P2p that had such a horrible RNG in a event.

Yes I'm aware some players found one on their first or 3rd run. I've also asked the same players how many they found after. General response is none after 20+ more runs.

I could almost understand if this was a purple companion. It would be a contrast in interest since that may actually take away some income from players thinking of buying a purple companion, but alas its a green companion and in no way effects income.

Really wouldn't mind the huge fail in the RNG if you at least gave us something useful and unique per run. Nope, we get a stock pile of the ugliest dye's known to man lol... (Heck for thieves it doesn't really even change the color of the base colors)

So 4 dagger transmutes (heh nice AD sink added to a event...And here I thought players were supposed to be the trolls not the Dev team...at least not unless its April 1st) and 30 ish dye packs later, gotta say this wasn't a fun event at all. If this is what we have to look forward to I may just pass on future events. Better luck next time I guess. =/

5 runs I got my orc wolf. It is just my first time ever in winning something quick. (I never win anything.)

Lol yeah have to agree, so much complaining over such a worthless item. Companions other than buffing are worthless and 90% of players use cleric while leveling up. Do you want to be able to run around PE with it?

But selling what? Dye packs?? Transmutes? Level 1 savage enchants?

I got a wolf on my first skirmish, then logged in last night for a last skirmish before the event ended and got a second. All in all, I have probably run 10 (PUG - all levels) skirmishes this weekend, so am obviously very happy with the result. But whether 10 or 100, I wouldn't have expected to come away with a companion and if I hadn't enjoyed the experience for itself would never have bothered - as others have said, I would just have bought one from the AH while they are going cheap.

To those that think companions are useless, I suspect you do nothing much but dungeons. I solo on a L60 with the man-at-arms (rank 15) and he does a great job of holding agro off me. As long as the player gauges the situation correctly - i.e. change target when the one you have sent the companion to is about to blow off a big damage effect - then companion deaths can be minimised.

That is the "beauty" of RNG. It is random. Of course you could have a bad luck streak. The alternative would be token system. The token system would grant a token each time you run and then you can SPEND it to GET what you want in finite time.

But some people hate token system and what that "wow factor" of RNG.

Alternative would be "modified RNG" system. It would be "taxing" on the server side since it has to track some behind the scene data for the player. It could be something like how many runs that player did and how many item won. It could "add bonus" to a chance of winning the more you run, but that could be tedious with such a large loot table.

If you play for fun, and not the rewards, you may not be so disappointed. I ran it about two dozen times, often only doing 3-4 runs in a row before getting bored to go do something else. I got the skin, no companion. I'm ok with that because the companion is just fluff anyway. I did come away with a ton of enchants and gold which is good. I liked the Gift of Tymora event better.

So far, 15 runs and only the dyes. Am a 60th lvl TR with Bloodscar armour, so at least I can match the rest of my outfit!
Tried 4 times with my 43rd CW, still only dyes.

Enjoying the event, but would like a wolf just so I've won something. Didn't get a mount on lockboxes or Lily of the profession packs - so praying to the Great RNG in the sky that I get a wolf, a weapon transmute would be nice.

However, I don't expect to get anything but will enjoy the orc-bashing.

I enjoyed the event for what it's worth, but I got everything I wanted even was able to make a few rank 7 sav enchants. However this shouldn't be a event but rather standard part of the game. Skirmishes are nice quick group mob slaughtering activities and it would be nice to rerun the old skirmishes at 60 more often.

I only made 6 runs. I found the companion on my second (I'm never lucky with drops) and gave it to a friend. No weapons though. As for the cost, you'd think a pure transmutation drop would come with a zero cost ability to use it one time.

50 skirmishes, no wolf so far. I wish they had a token system for each event, so that people get the reward they want after 20ish runs. This is getting ridiculous. It's turning something supposed to be fun into a dreadful grindfest.

Indeed, and since the weapon skins are bound and level 1 items, they neither sell for very much, nor can they be traded/sold/auctioned to others.

i finally got the orc axe.
i think i now understood Loot drops, i think you need to be in top 3 of 5 member groups to win the "prize", sort of contested event.

that how the others got them easy by winning.
i have been in 5th/4th places, and now i know why...

It really helps when you state an acronym that you give an example of it at least in some point of the thread. What does RNG mean?

Heh. I'm always GUILTY of that. I assume people already know this stuff. (I know you probably do)
but for the others. RNG = Random Number Generator.
