2 things not working

The first thing is when I play through map (not published) the guard I created won't follow.

The second is when I interact with the door that is supposed to take me to the second map nothing happens.

If I can fix these two issues I think I'm ready to publish so please help. :)

Make sure you tell the guard WHEN to follow. Behavior > Follow > Follow When: (expand Show Parameters if you can't see it). For the door, go to the STORY tab, click the second MAP TRANSITION and set the 'Leave From' component to your door.

    Hope that helps :)

Under parameters it says "No parameters" there seems to be no way for me to create parameters...with the door, the "Leave From" component was already there...maybe these things just don't work unless it's published?

For the guard encounter, you need to be in Layout view (not Detail) for the parameters to show up.

For the door, I'm a bit baffled. The only thing I can suggest is to try using a different door for the transition. I know some of the doors are already animated and this may be messing with the transition.

You can actually use any static object as a door transition, so you could try using a crate instead of a door, then you'd know if it's the door itself that's causing the problem.

    Good luck.

If your door is supposed to be used as a map transition, make sure that the door itself is not set to "Interactable" in its properties. If the door is used in a map transfer, the game will take care of the interaction for you.

. . . . . Follow will not always work when previewing the map in the Editor, as the AI gets confused sometimes on complex maps with a lot of triggers and other things - the preview AI does not work like it does on the live shards. It should work, if set up properly, once published and then played on the live shards.

. . . . . I suggest adding (TESTING) to your mission's name, then publishing it, test it on the live shards and then if it works okay, go back and remove (TESTING) from the name and republish it.
