"gold pits" foundry petition

My new and blossoming foundry map series "gold pits" has been taken down, I was never notified by game management.
These maps help players and make farming much easier. many players enjoy these maps and because of this, these maps should be allowed to stay up. I would like for all supporters of my maps to help me convince the admins that these maps should stay. I hope that my maps are good enough to have supporters willing to stand up for them.

I can tell you right now, you are on the wrong forums to post such a poll. Noone here will support your maps, plus there is a reason why they were taken down - they're exploitive.

they are only explotive to a minority of class, and its not a game breaking exploit.

Your maps were taken down due to violating against ToS.

And you admit it's an exploit. The downside to F2P games unfortunately.

I can't vote because you did not give the "no way in hell" option.
There is a rumor floating around that I am working on a new foundry quest. It was started by me.

the Tos says no exploiting, this is not true exploiting. true exploiting is when everyone can just sit there and kill anything. only 2 classes are able to do that

these maps are to give a quick way to restore potion supplies. i see no problem in being able to do so when in other ways of "farming" it takes almost as many potions used as to the amount you would get.

I just don't think it's worth worrying about. With the limitations in place already, anyone trying to over-farm such a foundry quickly starts receiving virtually no drops at all. At best you could very efficiently farm drops for a few minutes, and then you get nothing once you've killed too many mobs in a short period of time.

There's really no way to stop this behavior entirely short of eliminating drops in the foundry, which would be unnecessarily punitive, especially to players trying to level characters by using player-created content.

Wow, so you actually post on the official forums that you think your exploit should stay available because only a few classes can exploit it?

Think of it like this: An exploit no matter how big or small is still an exploit, just like a lie no matter how big or small is still a lie.

I don't think you realize how wrong of a place this is to post such information. NO author here is going to support your maps.

No, he's in the correct forum for this. He's trolling.

If these kinds of maps are popular, surely just a *small* tweak wouldn't hurt them, right?

How about you try making a series called "Gold Plains" instead of "Gold Pits". Spawn the same number of mobs, in the same configuration, just on a plain instead of in a pit. See how well that goes over.

At the very least they couldn't be taken down for an obvious ToS violation.

I wouldn't mind if the had a story and a bit of a variation but these gold pits are ruining other foundries people worked so hard on because there a so many and are been rated on, it pushes to the top so no one else can see the other foundries, if you want gold pits there should b an option to no have it rated so people just search for gold pits instead and play it and not get rated

Voted no for the fact that it hurts forum content creators that worked hard and spent a large chunk of their time to create content only to see it pushed into oblivion. ft content like yours was reported to be could never make it to best/daily reward status then I'm sure their would have been far less hatred.

If your Foundry Mission was taken down it was because your quest was deemed a violation of the Foundry Terms of Service and End User Licence Agreement. You should read those before making future content. ;)

I'll see what I can do about them getting a clearer definition as to what is an acceptable farm and what is not but simply laying mobs in areas to kill is asking for trouble even if it is not explicitly stated in the Terms of Service. The Foundry exists to permit players to create content for other players to play through and should not be used to simply increase your ability to gain gold/drops/experience.

It doesn't have to have an in depth storyline and dungeon crawls with little to no story have been confirmed to be fine but placing mobs in open areas simply to kill them with the intent of obtaining gold/drops/experience at an expedited rate is more than likely going to be removed, without warning, as an exploit and unintended use of the system as described by the ToS and EULA.

The one thing the Foundry is not is a cheat button. The plan is and always will be to make Foundry Missions equal to the official content but people who try to use the Foundry as a way to create easy gold/experience/drops hurt that possibility for the great authors in the community.

While I try to let people state their opinions this thread is simply going to go from bad to worse due to the nature and location of the request. I think the responses you received speak for themselves as to why this thread is not a suitable topic for discussion. If you have any further questions about this don't hesitate to send myself or the other Community Moderators or Community Managers a PM.
