It's more like they haven't designed anything up yet.
6 mins into the interview the Lead Developer talks about Module 1 and the New class being designed. He stated that the new class is about 40% complete and won't be out until the end of the year.

40% complete.
Translation: 10%, we've just got an idea.
Your probably right, or it will be one of those "we didn't like the direction the new class was going so we scraped the idea and started over", release date scheduled for spring of 2014

Nah. it'll be like Champions. constantly delayed until the game's been completely abandoned for Crytpics next cash grab..er, I mean, MMO

Find those statements very troubling. Because earlier this year they said that 1 of the classes was almost complete. Basically more hyperbole from the dev team while they try and bilk us for all the money they can. Guess those naysayers who dissed Cryptic and PWE were correct after all. Sad because this game was actually really fun for a time.

They have drawings and ideas. What more do you want?!?!
Ohhh...you wanted them to actually code that stuff?

What would be so hard about them releasing classes that are traditional for Neverwinter nights and D&D such as paladin, ranger, sorcerer, etc...
I do not want some bastardization of classes, I want the classes I know and love. I cant state how disappointed I was when I learned I could only be fighter, other fighter, some bad rogue rip off, cleric, and specialty wizard. That is not D&D.
This forum set up is absolutely horrible, I cant even figure out how to get my knight of the feywild title.

It is D&D 4e though in terms of class types. Yes there are more classes, but they didnt pull these ones out of their asses.
You're going to stealth patch them in before the next module right? right..? Throw your playerbase a bone!
The truth is that they are too busy trying to find new ways to make money, so they haven't spent any time fixing the HAMSTER that needs to be fixed in order to support new classes and whatever else we really want...
They also said pre-release of OB that the new class is almost done and they are just doing minor tweaks on it and final testing. So who is to believe?
I would be so inclined to believe the Lead Developer in the video I linked stating "the new class is at 40% completion and won't be out until the end of the year". That's not to say Cryptic can't release a new class before then, which would be pretty cool if they did.

Am I the only one here who thinks it disgusting that they release a BS Expansion Pack prior to fixing all the BS issues, including the new class?! That ?class has been there since the beginning, yet this expansion pack (money mongering pack) takes precedence.
Yes yes, I know. They only made this game to make money, but at least have some dignity.

You do realize that Module 1 will be completely free right? They have the FotF pack just like the HOTN pack, neither of which are needed to play the actual content.

I do realize that, but I think its safe to say that they are banking on people buying the packs. Thats what they are investing both time and advertising on.

Except for the fact that they detailed out a lot of the new content a while back, one of the points being that we'll get two new races, only to later tell us that we'll have to pay for one of them. I don't call that completely free. In fact, I would be more inclined to call it false advertisement.
Now if they had balanced it out by releasing the Drow for free along with the module, I wouldn't have a complaint. I don't even intend to make a Drow character anytime soon, I just feel like the cashgrabs are getting to be a little blatant. Needless to say, it doesn't inspire any confidence in me for the long-term growth of this game.

How is it false advertisement? When they released the information about the races did they say that both would be available for free?
I feel like sometimes people plant information in their own heads just to support their arguments.

Lack of new classes is making me very unhappy with this game. The classes at launch were woefully inadequate. I basically never play anymore, and the #1 main reason is the lack of classes.
Give me more classes.
In fact, don't release another scrap of content until you do. No Feywild garbage, no new Zen store stuff. No new professions, events, or anything. I know a TON of people who feel that the #1 thing this game needs is more classes, but apparently PWE/Cryptic can't seem to understand that.
Is it rushing to Cryptics defense when trying to figure out how a person can make a completely false statement?
Right now I'm trying to wrap my head around how an opinion can be written off as a false statement. Or are you just trying to be needlessly argumentative for cool points or something?

You think it is false advertisement due to the fact that you thought the 2 new races would be free yes? This has been proven false that no where did they say the races would be free, but only that they would be coming with the Fury Module and they are. Thus your opinion has been proven to be a false statement.

"It will follow a completely Free to Play marketing model.
There will be no subscription option and all core content will be available free of charge."
Now define (Core Content), is that content minus certain races/Classes? or is core content applied to what we have now with the Classes/Races that were free at launch and Anything else added is considered extra?
Technically speaking I am sorting through threads right now, but here's some information from A mod on the Subject of (Free Content), that was giving a while back. This is not to say that the Moderator speaks directly for Cryptic, and that Cryptic can't change their mind whenever they feel like it. Cryptic, obviously has the final say on what is or isn't free content, and incorporate such material as they deem fit.

The microtransaction-based title will include items such as armor and weapons that the player can purchase for real-world money; However, in-game content such as missions and maps will "absolutely not" be based around a system of microtransactions, says Velasquez.
"You'll be able to access all of the classes without having to pay anything, and we will not be selling powers. It's not like you can just go to the store and buy a level 30 sword as a level 10 character. So we haven't talked too much in terms of the details yet but that's our high level approach," said Velasquez.
I'm guessing that (Free Access to All the Classes) has since been changed, or could very well mean "The Classes they Launched the game with".

Its more likely that in an interview they said that the class will be released by the end of the year.
Translation: We've got nothing yet & we'll whip something up by the end of the year that'll be released broken & in need of several patches.

Occam's Razor makes the cutting clean.
40% complete.
Translation: 10%, we've just got an idea.
100% would mean released buggy without testing.
