hello guys! I know am not really active on this forum but: - Better late than never.
So forever and ever, I'll be trading reviews.
Please keep in mind (while playing my mission) that English is my second language. So if you spot any grammatical, verb tense or typo errors, I'll be delighted to correct them.
That said, I might not be able to fully comprehend YOUR story/back-story.
So I will base MY reviews on YOUR environment, NPC/Encounter costume, sounds/music, special effect and the general mood.
Some of you might already have played my mission. But I have changed/added so many things, that it is not the same mission anymore. Please give it another try.
My quest "The Book of the dead". It's a single player quest that you can run as a daily in ~20 mins.
It is a adaptation of the movie: Evil Dead 2So here is the mission summary:You take your best friend Linda to a secluded cabin in the woods, where you activate an archaeologist's magic diary with a recorded recitation of passages from the Book of the Dead. The spell calls up an evil spirit which possesses Linda, and threatens to do the same to you. When the archaeologist's daughter shows up at the cabin, the night turns into a nightmare. The Short code:NW-DH9ZOZ274Here a tip:Turns off shadows in the "advanced" video options IF you notice a big "lag" in the map "The Forest"Here some screenshots :

This quest is super trippy in a great way! The use of effects was amazing. I want to play through it again just to get a great screenshot of one particular encounter. Give it a try, it's totally groovy.
Alright you Primitive Screwheads, listen up! You see this? This... is my BOOMSTICK!
Apparently Doc and Lin didn't hit it off very well. I did not stick around to see who would blink first..

Oupsy ! My bad.
Played your quest, and I could not finish it, I fell down the cliff near the blue brazier, ended up stuck in a rock /unstuck did work but then I fell through those rock and landed on the map floor , there was no way out, I had to use /killme but then I spawned in the tent texture (your re-spawn point angle is off) and got stuck in a endless loop of /killme and getting stuck in the tent texture again and again and again so I quit.
but I can give you the feedback up until there.
you could:
on first map:
- add more "shore rubble" like drift wood and such.
- use a actual boat as a intractable when we board or a invisible intractable
on the boat:
- use a invisible intractable for the captain when we set for the mountain.
mountain map:
- some player like side quest other don't, I think you may have over did it a little with those invisible intractable that drop item in this place, You could give the main quest item through Marcus dialogue and make him re-spawn again for optional stuff and give another item and so on.
- I don't know if the player is suppose to encounter 2 testament of strength at same time(1st and 2nd one) but it happen to me. was hard ... drank a lot of pot.
- then the fell happen on that blue brazier...
what happened is I accidentally double tapped "A" and teleported myself in the void
environment: nice
sound: nice
costume: nice
mood: perfect
special effect: did not see any
4/5
I will probably play it again later....
At the shore, it looks rather stale imo. But I'm at 1500 detail limit there, I might be able to remove/Add details but thing is. There shouldn't be any there, if people are there wouldn't they clean it up? I dunno.
And why use a boat? It doesn't make much difference imo :P
Don't really see it needed to have the captain as an interactable, also would I do it the interactable would have to be there from the start, atleast if it is an area exit. (Unless I am completely mistaken.)
And those aren't sidequests, those are items signifying certain things from part 1 and part 2, not sidequests. (This is why it says, it presumes you have played the others.)
And I didn't want to make it a must to speak with anything in this quest, it has its benefits and drawbacks. But this way, makes it smoother rather than speak to person A, then speak to person B, then C.
Though I'll have to fix that respawn, you're the first one to actually die in that area :P - But yeah, works fine in the foundry, I'll just move it to some more clear area. Thanks for the play though ^^
Still need to play yours but my friends aren't logged on, and I can't bring myself to play anything solo atm.
Edit:
Though if you're only at the mountains, you have a long way to go :P

1.25 change-logs
- typo, spelling.
- a player response was modify in the 2nd cut-scene in map "the forest" to solve a incoherence.
- changes made to "the cellar" map in order to give the player more room and prevent a bug
- a non-working timer (or should I say uncooperative) in map "the cellar" was removed.
- a objective is been added before the player take is reward in order to tell what is going on.
I never actually watched the movie it was based on. So I can't comment on that part. But as a short foundry mission I liked it.
