Cheaper Bags Please!

I posted this in one of the patch notes threads, but I feel it deserves its own post. Hopefully it won't get lost, or devs might read it.

I really love this game. It's fun, fast paced, so don't take this griping as me hating on the game. I really feel that both bags, and bank space, are seriously overpriced. bags currently sit at the equivalent to $10 a bag. Bank tabs are at roughly $8 a tab. I think this is severely overpriced. The whole idea of micro-transactions is to make buying an impulse, which means I don't have to stop and consider whether or not it's worth buying. At $10 a bag, for a bag that will be bound to whatever character I put it on, isn't worth the price. $10 is the monthly price of some other mmos. When I play free games, I usually spend about 10-15 dollars a month on it. I'm not rich, I don't have money to just throw at a game. If a bag was 2-3 dollars a bag, I might consider buying several. If I could trade it to my other characters I definitely would. Sometimes I delete characters. What if I buy bags on one, then want to delete it? That money is gone.

Bank space is just as bad. 16 slots is just way to few to be reasonable. $8 a tab? It's not even across characters. I can't choose between buying bank space for both characters because I can't afford to add extra tabs for that price. Example: Guild Wars 2. GW2 also charges $10 a tab. But you get 30 slots, and it is across my entire account. I bought 4. They don't charge for bags.

While I don't expect this game to be exactly like that, it wouldn't hurt to consider making bank space across all characters, or at the very least, lower the cost to get space. The last few days I have spent running through quests. I've sold everything I can, I continue to sell in the auction house, but the sheer amount of loot and no space to pick it up is making me think twice about continuing until something is done to correct the storage issue.

I'm sure I will get flamed and told to go back to another game, blah blah, but these are just facts. I enjoy this game a ton, and hope that this problem gets fixed, and soon. Thanks for listening.

I agree. If greater bags of holding were, say 250 zen, I would probably buy 4 and they got their $10. However, they are not...they are 1000 zen, so I buy NONE and they don't get their $10...from me anyway.

Same for me, I'd buy some if they were cheaper, but at the actual prices... no thanks.

I dont even read the first post, i only need to see this: "Join Date Jul 2013".

YOU dont need cheaper bags, you dont really need bags. I have 2 bags on all my toons, only my TR has 3 bags, because i did all the quests in NW. I have 5 chars, i know what im saying and there is no need for extra bags.

We have been complaining about bag prices since CB. They never said a word about it, doubt they will.

What difference does join date make???

Nobody needs cheaper bags but I would be willing to bet that a lot of people would like cheaper bags.

I wish I was so pro that I only needed 2 bags.

Please teach us soulwhisp how to play with 2 bags.

I say it because new players only see one thing when they press I: OMG ONLY 3 BAGS O_O
But actually you dont really need that much either, you will get it when you become lvl60!

I'm level 60 and I would still like cheaper bags and accountwide bank slots. Gonna collect all the gear sets.

Maybe we do NEED extra bags. Maybe we can't live without extra bags. Either way, your argument is moot because we are not you and we want extra inv space and we feel that $10 for a bag is too **** high.

I have been playing for a few weeks and it never really occurred to me that I wanted more bag space until i had to start throwing stuff out of my bag to make room for other stuff and with so little bank space it was constant. Until you hit 60 1 and a half bags a far to little space and cryptic knows that hence the high bag prices.

Make the bag an account wide unlock and I'd pony up some cash. Well not real money, but I would definitely consider grinding AD though.

While the quest bags appear to be bind-on-pickup, there's nothing in the description of the Zen bags that indicates they ever bind at all, and I've seen people talking about mailing them around to other characters.

So while they are expensive, they're not quite as bad as you make out.

Why u gotta be all sensible and spout out stuff like this while I am at work and can't check. If they can be moved to other chars then they might be priced right. I can send my big bags to my alt that is leveling.

Yes. the bags are transferable I believe (and hope - I haven't tried it but was told by several people that they were)

My plan is once I have finished leveling my current character to transfer the one bag to my next alt and the second to any character that I plan to regularly run Epic dungeons with.

EDIT: Just tired it and the game allows you to put an used bag in a mail attachment so it should be fine to transfer it to another character.

I kept all of the runes and enchants on my way up as I did not know which I would maybe need later in game. I also keep all of the pots i find for alchemy when it gets fixed. So I had a full bank and full bags all of the time on my main and first char.

Now that I know better I can see getting by with maybe just one big bag on my alt. When you run through the first time i tend to keep a lot of stuff in case i may be able to use it later.

Well im just saying / OR giving you a tip that you really dont need to farm the gems, because it takes very very much time.
Think about it, if you want a rank 7 gem, you need MINIMUM 64 rank4 from that gem. And you will put this gem in only one of your gear. If you think about it you need like 6 offensive gems total, +3 for ioun stone. That is like 576 gem. Would you really farm those out?

These numbers only right if you are wanting rank 7s, and if you really want an ioun stone.

Take my advice and do daily quests, do leadership, sell all you stuff that you dont need, then buy rank 7 gems. You will have a much better experience, and you will have fun. Instead of farming like a robot!

Well I know that NOW. But you mentioned new players and new players generally do not know better and want to keep a lot of stuff. Nothing is more annoying than vendoring something and finding out you need it like an hour later. I still want cheaper bags though, it's nice to have the extra room in dungeon runs.

Cheaper bags won't happen, except maybe if there is some special "DISCOUNT WEEKEND!" for select items. All F2P mmo have them. Problem is...don't expect them often.

Its predictable...cause one thing nobody really notices is when you die the second time on a boss....Resurrection scrolls for yourself and the party....from the zen store. Paying $$$ at insane prices for "extra lives" my ***, just to prevent the chance of the whole party from wiping and the boss hitpoint bar resets...because you are locked out from the boss room when you die the second time....coded by design BTW. Greed...its why the bags are so expensive...couple of bucks for a few measly extra lives...typical human behavior. I would rather pop a quarter in an old arcade game for three lives...at least I can get multiple games going without wasting a few tens of dollars on a couple of pixelated storage devices or mounts...$60 bucks for a founder pack, 50 more for a single back for myself and a friend leaving the rest for character slots. PWE/Cryptic won't get another dime from me.

I have every GF T1 set and half of the T2 sets and a shedload of random enchantments. That fills up the bank and a bunch of bag slots.
I also gateway craft, so I like to have extra space for the 20 odd pants I make through the gateway. It's not that I'm hugely pressed for more space, but I like having it.

I don't care if you've never spent money on the game, I have and I spent about $60 on bank slots for convenience. I have more money than I have free time and I am not opposed to getting more for my money(or AD).
