I was wondering if the wording on Brand of the Sun for damage is wrong or it is doing about 1/5 the damage that it should. Just with my eyeballs, I'm finding that Lance of Faith( 3 levels) is giving me more DPS than Brand of the Sun (3 levels) The description for BotS says the damage should be 1300-1800. I'm not sure I've seen a attack do more than 300 with BotS.
Brand of the Sun is a Team style attack in my eyes. It is not something you use while solo because you hit the person once, and it does damage over time. It's great if it connects a critical because then all further attacks does a critical. It's a Team style attack for me because you can be in the back hitting multiple ads with it without continuously attacking them. Astral Seal, then Brand of the Sun, and then next target. Lots of ticks, and hopefully they are not attacking you. Solo however just doesn't hit it for me.

Yea you fire Brand of the Sun and then spam other stuff for a couple seconds then use Brand of the Sun again... It does not stack so useless to spam it on same target. The damage stated on all DoT powers is damage done in entire duration of DoT, not per tick.
I go with Lance of Faith and won't bother at all with Brand of the Sun (I hate its graphics/sound anyways). The thing is, when I count time how long it takes me to kill anything with lance of faith compared to brand of the sun, lance of faith kills everything in short count and brand of faith takes twice the count (even when both are maxed out... makes sense in that all lance of faith does is damage while brand can have other things going on with it, love lance of faith grapthics).
The idea is that on a target that will live for a while, you use brand of the sun and load up like a thousand damage with one click, then spam lance of faith or whatever for the other six clicks, and get almost all the damage from both. It's not worth using on things that will die quickly; you need at least two or three tics (out of seven) to hit before it matches lance of faith for the click you used to place it.
Is DG bugged still? From what I hear, it's bugged when it's in Divine Mode. If not then I'm glad to put those 3 points into it and roll on the floor killing all the mobs while I solo/be a derpy DPs for a party.

Divine Glow was fixed from applying the debuff on allies several patches ago. It is a nice skill now, if/when you can afford to slot it in endgame.
I've been having great experiences with Divine Glow in guild/friend runs where I don't need to slot a 3rd heal. D-mode Divine glow combined with linked spirit and Hallowed ground massively boosts party DPS, and has been enabling huge crits from my TR friends...to the point where we killed the Cleric boss in T1 GG so fast it glitched and gave us 2 spiders to clean up. Killing everything fast = less damage taken = less heals required. Win for all.

BotS is awesome for divinity gain specially with lots of mobs. Just put it on everything like you would astral seal, voila! Your divinity is ticking away while you're doing other things or maybe running away...
