on the other hand side, enchants are sorta the only thing you can still grind for.. and that is, because its hard to get them. if you make access to them easy as well you are left with everybody running around with best in slot gear and lvl 10 enchants.. even now many people who started when the beta opened have rank 9 enchants all over.. i am not sure if it is a good idea without a proper rework of a lot of content (starting with BoP items)

You can easily get 4-6 rank 4 enchants/runes running a 15 minute foundry quest. (equals 1 rank 5) I don't think an occasional rank 5 drop in an epic dungeon would have much (any) effect on the economy, but just might foster some interest in killing stuff in epic dungeons. I could be wrong, but I think it's a pretty good suggestion and a refreshingly positive thread!

At level 60 if you have a character that is quick at killing mobs this doesn't seem too unreasonable for any Foundry with a fair amount of enemies. I am pretty sure I have had at least three to four Rank 4s drop in a 15 minute quest at any rate.

I'll second nyrovaines question. Which Foundry?
I ran Protect the Caravan several times the other night, because I heard it was a gold mine.
I got 1 rank 3 Dark in half an hour.
I think I got a few rank 4s on Bill's Tavern, but can't be certain as I try to run varied quests. Also, what difficulty did you run Caravan on - that might make a difference.
I think what would be better in Dungeons is occasional rare drops. Drop a blue and even a purple here and there. Oh, and what about an occasional dye? I know, amazing concept. I am not saying all the time, every time. Keep rare items rare, but just a small chance would possibly slow folks down.

They could also add Greater ID Scrolls and small AD bags as drops, and people would be more apt to kill the "trash mobs".

Rank 5 runes are included in this game from Nodes, Trash Drops, and Chests in T1, T2, and CN Epic Dungeons.
Greater Scrolls are obtained from Foundrys at level 60, most commonly found (in my experience) Foundry: "Level those pets!". I obtain 12-17 scrolls of greater identification per run.
Rank 5 rune drop rate:
Chests - 1 in 200
Trash Drop - 1 in 500
Nodes - 1 in 300
If you wish to test this, run "The Cloak Tower" PuG, Solo, or Guild Run to see for yourself.

after 40+ runs of T2's I've never seen a Rank 5 Drop

They are rare but they do drop but as other people have spoken, it would make rune farming too easy. I rather get the runes done but meh, interest on this game is going down hill.
Also I forgot to mention, a "Dragon Egg" which is an epic crafting tool, has been obtained from T2: Caverns of Karrundax from the "Dragon Egg" on a guild run.
I am not sure if this is the only place it drops from or just a mere coincidence or even the fact that it has a same drop rate chance for all nodes or just specific ones.

Rare as in. .0000000000000000000000000000000000000000001 % Well I don't believe what I don't see. Never seen one drop and if the % is that low then same as in they don't drop.

Runestone =/= Enchantment
A lot fo you mistaken my intentions! I dont want to be in rank10, im fine with my rank7s. I just want people kill more adds instead of running away from them.
ad drop sound nice (rough one at least since you still have a 24k limit) the daily dungeon on lv 60 do not work so that pobably can be a good option to do daily dungiones just for AD, so if 2-4 pvp match gives you 4k AD then a dungeon that last almost the same should give you 4 AD as well , if you don't want to give it easy then just give it to the not so trashi mobs XD so you can gather and leave the equip to the other bosses , runestones are also a good idea again probably include some rare drop in the nonn so trashi mobs and probably only in T2 dungeons, i hate to see green equip omn those dungeonos there should only be stones drops, for green stuff i do foundries and as they mention just to gatter Scroll ids or for gold
Everything works out in the end . If it hasn't worked out yet, it isn't the end...
I think it would be great if epic dungeons dropped rank 5's and higher, and certainly give people a reason to run delves when there isn't an extra chest available.
Can we get a Dev comment on how likely this is to implement? If the answer is "wait until module one" I am okay with that, provided that we have a sense of action.
The right to command is earned through duty, the privilege of rank is service.

I saw that the lvl60 skirmish drops AD like 40 in the last boss. So the code is right there, they should just use it for adds too in T2 dungeons. So like they will drop 5 per add sound like normal i think!
I agree with this idea. Instead of jumping whole portions of the dungeons to get to the boss, the trash mobs should have drops that encourage players to run the entire dungeon. I have just turned 60 and find it disconcerting that I have to follow the crowd and sneaking through so many areas. It's just not the way Im used to things being done. Wondering why this game has mechanics that encourage that.

Because the Cryptic devs intentionally made the dungeons grindy and unfun?
There is really no need to blame everything on Cryptic, this happens a lot of games, if there is no Hardcore player among the devs. When they made it, they clearly didint expected / calculated that there are thousend of players who will exploit out every corner of the dungeons!

Then they are simply fools to think people will not exploit. Though it's not entirely their fault. Most of the major exploits are found during closed testing and never reported so that the testers can profit from them once the game goes live.

This is a joke, right?
AFAIK the vast majority of the exploits were reported in Closed Beta and Open Beta multiple times, or even occurred in a similar form in previous PWE games ......

I doubt even the most rabid Cryptic Fanboyz can argue with this given the epic run of disasters we have seen since 'Open Beta' started.
