After reaching LVL 60 and finished all the "job's" I can find, I decided to start a second character, I wanted to give that Character a head start, with things like Treasure Chest Keys, healing potions and weapons, but when I follow the "hint'' given while sending Mail to myself, (hover over the 'Send To' area, and it says to send mail to self or my other character, type, @whateverevername,,

Ok when I do as prompted, I see the mail notice from my lvl 60 but when I switch to my 2nd the mail icon is not lit nor any mail..

I double checked my spelling several times but still for some reason cant send mail to myself..

Anyone have a clue what I am doing wrong ??

You can't send mail to different shards/servers. Did you make the new character on a different one?

*Also (if you are on the same shard) check the mail even if its not lit up. Sometimes viewing a mail on one character will mark it as read for others. If so the mail icon wouldn't lite up.*

Account doesn't matter. The game currently has three shards (or worlds) where you can play. Named Dragon, Beholder, and Mindflayer. A single account can make characters on different shards. But you can't mail stuff to characters on the other shards.

I discovered you have to be level 15 I believe to receive mail. There is a mail you receive that informs you of this if I remember correctly.

That probably what happened... I wish in the game guidelines they would point this out.. Oh well scrap that character

    Thanks for the help

Not true btw. I`ve sent starting gear to level 5`s on my account and others. The gear made it just fine in all cases.

Have you bought a Hero/Guardian pack? Or possibly just Zen?

Have not bought either pack, though I have bought some Zen. Also have no problem mailing stuff to my alts. When I was grinding the blacklake skirmish I would send each new character a companion to make it go faster. I think they might have to be past the tutorial (like what is required to run a foundry), but its not a level 15 cap.

I suppose its possible the added a cap in later for those that didn't buy Zen. But I don't think so. And I never got a mail saying I couldn't use the mail. Even before I bought Zen. Only thing I can think of like that is the level 15 requirement to make a foundry mission. They send a mail out stating that.

It is level 15 to use parcel mail by default, but you get access right from the start if a Founder (now pack buyer). Same for tells in chat and to start a guild. Starting a guild at any level can also be done if you've bought Zen. Suspect this applies across the board.

You are reading way to much into this.

That restriction is for sending mail, not receiving. Intended to slow down gold spammers. If you don't have a character above 15 it will only let you send mail to people on your friends list. You still receive mail like normal.

Just double checked on an account that never bought Zen or the packs. Its only character was level 9. Was able to get mail sent by another player with an item in it. And retrieve the item.

I'm actually having the same problem, my lv 60 send mail to myself and my level 23 can't see it on the same server. Pretty annoying.
