Companions and receiving their stats

I had a few questions in regards to companions and the use of Eldritch runestones.

So, I know Eldritch runes will give me a % of my companions stats.

Does my companion have to be at my side for this to be true?

For example:

Will I receive this stat bonus in PVP while my companion cannot be in play?

If I have more than 1 companion with an Eldritch rune equiped will I received a stackable bonus from each companion?


I did read another thread that focused on one aspect of the last question. That struck me more as a reference to not having a stackable bonus from multiple eldritch runes on one companion. My question is in reference to having one rune on multiple companions in respect to stacking stats.


If you have accurate answers to any of these, I would love to hear from you.

    Has to be summoned.
    Has to be alive.

    Won't work in pvp.
    Multiple companions won't help, only the summoned one will grant you any bonus.

    I was in the 20-29 pvp bracket at one point. Their was a rogue killing my whole team. He did half my total health in 1 hit. I had no idea how he was doing it, thought he may have been stacking pet stats. I guess that's not an option.

    Maybe ill never figure that out. I had all current level blue gear too; just doesn't make sense to me now.

    gloomwrought crate weapon most likely, enjoy a lvlX character with a weapon fit for lvlX+10

    Maybe, but that's where I get my gear. It was just so unusual because out of so many pvp matches i've never fought anyone even half his strength.

    Gear score matters on all levels. I've seen lower levels decked out in dungeon blues just wreck all the greenclad folk.

    I can understand that, I do that quite often myself. Gear definately plays a big part.

    This player could not have had much better gear than me; within 100 gs at best yet was doing 5 times my damage.

    Maybe he was hacking. I've seen some unkillables here and there.

    does eldritch stack with ioun stone of allure?
