Howler's (mount) idle sounds :(

Does anyone else find the Howler's sounds while idle really loud and a bit too much? I mean I know its a "Howler" but the snarls and growls are so frequent and so very piercing. I actually found myself swapping to a different, less noisy mount yesterday, much as I love my Howler.

Anyone else agree? Possible to get a fix for it (or perhaps folks don't feel it needs a fix!)

    Oh, it drives me absolutely crazy.

    When tending my auctions and stuff, I switch to the more empty map instances of Enclave just to avoid all the people sitting around on Howler mounts.

    Most. Obnoxious. Sound. Ever.

    They just won't shut up. Ugh.

    And, as far as I can tell, there's no way to disable mount sounds in the options without also disabling other types of sound effects.

    PS: For you accountants at PWE, that sound they make is also the main reason I got a Stormraider instead of the Howler.

    The noise they make while mounting up kinda freaks me out.

    The idle sound I find really distracting though is I think from the wolf mounts. Reminds me of really loud purring.

    I like the way they look and their movement bonus but the only reason I didn't purchase one was that annoying idle noise.

    I like their summoning SFX, though.

    Oh I'm glad I'm not the only one who does that. My mate thinks I'm a sook haha. ><. But the constant sound drives me mental!

    Oh god i thought i was the only one. I love the lore behind the Howler, and love the sound too, but for the love of god, why can't it be toggled by hitting space? or at least less frequently. I keep thinking he wants food, so i go to the AH and try to make people log off, hence filling his belly :o

    I bought the Heavy Worg instead of the Howler just because I have heard how grating the sound is.

    Don't regret it, though. You don't see as many Heavy Worgs as you do Howlers.
