Professionally speaking: thus far Google+ is an "also ran" (I am not intending to insult anyone by this, just stating facts) - it hasn't taken-off in the amount of popularity as of yet to warrant most smaller companies' attention.
Twitter and FaceBook are established, known quantities (I follow companies' at Twitter, but never at FaceBook). There also are real concerns by a lot of people about FaceBook's and Google's privacy policies, and because of this: FaceBook is the only player because they already have the population. It's no secret Google+ is still struggling to gain real traction as of yet.
Not intending to "troll" or anything, just sharing my insight into the discussion.
If they would make an official G+ community, we'd all be happy to circle it.
A lot of developers for whatever reason are pro Stalkbook and anti G+ Stephen Reid and I had a very long chat about it when he was still with Bioware, he really wanted an official G+ page for SWTOR and was told by LA in no uncertain terms not to even mention it again.
G+ has a better class of people mainly because google has no problem shutting your account down if you behave like an *** and since you now have to provide a verifiable phone number to make an account it harder for trolls, creeps, and weirdos to function.
I left Stalkbook ages ago as have many gamers I know....developers are missing a huge part of their audience by not having a G+ presence

Just putting in that I am a Google+ only convert after the combination of the choices by Facebook and the lack of strong community there (my opinion I am not trying to offend anyone). While the stigma of Google+ being a small community is still perpretrated, I do not find that to be the case. I can see how someone who does not use it often could feel that way as it requires you to opt in to communities and take part before you really start getting a decent stream of information and communication. I feel the strength of each individual community and the dedication of members to help and grow the communities they are apart of is unique to Google+ as a social network. To each their own though.
I for one at least want to cast my vote for a stronger presence of companies sharing on Google+ for communities that prove themselves and grow to a level of notice (like this one has).
IN MY OPINION, in terms of functionality Google+ is a vastly superior service compared to Facebook. The Communities feature alone makes it so, not to mention Hangouts, both on computer and mobile.
However, Google+ will never be as popular as Facebook is. that is a fact.
Facebook is McDonalds, Google+ is Five Guys.
Facebook is World of Warcraft. Google+ is *insert your favorite non-WoW MMO*.
that said, the point of this thread was not really to compare the two, but rather just to show the Neverwinter team that there is an active, POSITIVE community of NW players over on Google+.

Could not be more wrong. Since my job has to do with social networks I can really say "Professionally speaking". G+ is the 2nd largest Active User social network (Think of all the FB accounts for ppl's dogs...). The order is FB, G+, YouTube, Twitter, MS, Pin... Not trolling also, but when the facts are out there, ignorance and guessing should not be spread.
Back to topic, heh The community is growing, we personally keep everyone updated on things like the servers being down or updates and 'nerfs'. We get ppl that help each other, not just like the Official FB Neverwinter, where you only see ppl post on the back of recent posts and only get replies when it is something positive not something to fix anything.
On a side note, all posts on FB are not searchable on Google when someone is looking up a topic. They are on G+, and you can search G+ for its own interior, publicly posted posts without being signed up.
I'm a Google +er too. At the time I was writing this, there were 575 people logged onto the forums here. Half of those people are probably looking for answers for help, a quarter are actually reading and trying to help out that half, and the last quarter are just trolls looking to start HAMSTER or point out a grammatical error or logical fallacy on someone elses post just to stroke their own e-peen.
The Google+ community has 700 DEDICATED members who actively post and reply to help and Rarely are there any trolls. I think all we are asking is that NW/Cryptic/PWI send someone by every now and then, post some news or link to updates or info, and move on. We're not asking for an omnipresence like on FB or TW.

I like this analogy. I enjoyed G+ but not enough of my friends and family use it therefor I don't use it. Also, FB has a 138.5K likes to your 700 member community page. You can link the two to post the same stuff but I doubt they will post for 700 people when they cant even update their forum page half the time.

Google+ floundered on its launch. There's a running joke that only Google employees use Google+ (of course that's not true, just a jab at its failure to catch on as much as Facebook or Twitter).
I used Google + for a while when it first launched, and even before the launch, but there were SO many things it lacked that I eventually gave it up and never looked back. Good thing too because even today companies and friends I have just don't use it. So I doubt you guys would get Cryptic/PWE over there for Neverwinter. Kudos to creating your own group though.

I wouldn't want my friends to know I use Google+
